Watched this show today! Unbelievable. Josh killed it as the phantom! Took my 75 year old mum along. She has been a fan since it first came out but never got to see the theatre version… until now. It was everything she had dreamed!
This is a great video. He was so awesome as Phantom in Melbourne! His singing and acting was so good! So much emotion in his voice. Really nailed the characterisation over the course of the story!

I think my favourite moment had to be in 'Stranger Than You Dreamt It' - the EMOTION the deep and quiet self deprecation (and begging D:) had me floored. I still replay it in my mind all the time, and it had me going to see it again three weeks later. Also, I never did get to see Amy Manford, but Bridget Costello was absolutely stunning both times I saw the show. Your chemistry together really does work. What I did appreciate was that in-between the show in January and February, instead of moving the music stand during Music of The Night, you did it right before instead! Leaving that room for you to hold the "abandon their defences", instead of cutting it short - MWAH!! Bravo, bravo, bravissimo!
i just watched phantom in the sydney opera house, not knowing anything about it, and it was the most incredible show i have ever seen. you have an incredible voice, josh, and i hope that i can see a show of yours again someday
The first stage production of Phantom of the Opera I saw starred Anthony Warlow as Phantom and I was mesmerised by his voice and performance. Listening to you sing Music of the Night just now Josh has blown me away with how similar your voice and vocal style is to his. Amazing. Stunning performance!! I wish I could afford to see you live too.

Had the pleasure of watching POTO last night at the Sydney Opera House. It is a wonderful new production and I totally enjoyed it. The sets were innovative and fresh. The orchestra was magnificent. The cast looked like they were having a ball and it showed. The singing was infectious and I had to bite my tongue from joining in. The highlight of the show, imo, are the vocals of the phantom, Josh Piterman. Just bloody good. Thank you for a wonderful evening. 👍🏼🖖🏼

Travelled all the way from Singapore to Sydney to watch the show and you didn't let me down! I've seen many people as phantom on the stage but you truly had some unique elements in your phantom. I really love how you partrayed the vulnerable part of the phantom. It's rather enthralling and I'm more than willing to watch it again!! I'm also wondering if you like some of the songs in its sequel 'Love Never Dies'. Your voice would be a great fit for 'Till I hear you sing' and I want to hear you sing it so badly 😭

It depends on the day, Amy does 6 performances a week, I do all 8. But nothing is guaranteed in live theatre. Illnesses etc can happen
