@@wisteriadrop2641 good theory but the hidden swarm and the brood of xivu arath have the same goal and that wouldnt explain why they fight the cosmodrome hive because they arent xivu araths brood soo
My theory. The force of hive in the cosmodrome is not as strong as the Hidden Swarm. This allowed the Cabal to begin bringing vengeance to the hive, but also not needed to expend as many resources. The purpose of the Battleground was to clean out the hive and earn a position on Caiatl's war council, which is why the Cosmodrome Champion decided to go after the hive. Get some vengeance, earn the Empress's favor, and get positive reputation with the fleeing Cabal people. If they decided to attack the Hidden Swarm, they would need to establish a base close to enemy territory, defend it, and also begin to clean out the hive that is currently present on the moon. And let me remind you that these Cabal Champions do not even have a legion under their control. It would be suicide, even for the Cabal, to attack the Hidden Swarm in their current condition. Plus, the nightmares and the pyramid ship still exist on the moon.
