The fact that Dame played this well and the Nuggets still won is noteworthy imo.
Definitely, Nuggets somehow out-offensed this performance.

@@HoopVenueThe worst thing is that most people forgot about this game … And i don’t understand why, maybe it’s because he play in a small market, because Dame has everything else in term of being marketable, he is super skilled, from shooting to ball handling to passing, he is good looking, charismatic and super clutch, everybody know what the Dame time celebration .. He is basically a hood version of Curry, with tatoos and who can rap lol, so it’s really a shame that he wasted his career in that trash team i feel like he could have been a Top 30 or even 20 player ever if he was on a good team or big market.

This was truly the purest, most clutch, and most determined shooting display I’ve ever seen, and Steph is my favorite player.
Dame might not have the trophy case, but man, one of my favorite guards of all time.
100% agree, was always an inspiration for my own game.

When I first saw that game I thought i was looking at basketball GOD because that’s EXACTLY what dame became. The greatest playoff performance in NBA history… and they still lost I can’t believe dame after putting on such a wasted performance dame didn’t request a trade. All of his teammates sold Horribly to unforgivable levels. If i was dame I would’ve been left

when Covington missed that dunk I lost it. I’ve always been a big Dame fan, and this probably the most frustrating example of him being let down by his teammates
It was ridiculous how absolutely horrendous his teammates had to be to lose despite his unbelievable shot making. They literally couldnt even catch the ball cleanly without losing it out of bounds. Me and my mom were both screaming at the tv "STOP PASSING THE BALL" lol
The spinning stepback turn around to tie the game is what did it for me. When it comes to Dame if you look at his numbers... if Curry wasnt in the league we'd porbably consider Dame one of the best players.. and best shooters of all time. Dame not being a top 5 shooter all time is stupid IMO

The numbers are good enough. The numbers are top 5 all time. Reggie and Ray Allen went under 40% in years.. even if they were at like 42-43% on 7-8 three pointers. Give me the value of Dame all day every day. The volume.

This was such a depleted Nuggets backcourt it makes me sad. When Austin Rivers and Facundo Campazzo are your starting guards, it's no wonder this happened... Proof that it wasn't just Jokic that helped win Denver's title in 2022-2023.

As I was watching this as a Nuggets fan, I saw Lillard making shots and was thinking, well this got to stop at one point., and it just kept going until Blazers had no legs anymore...I was kindsa confident Nuggets would win as a better team, but the Lillard barrage just kept coming...

Even if thats true that doesn't necessarily mean Claxtons defense is bettee, hes just more switchable. With that said I think its pretty close. Claxton is a great rim protector and very switchable, but embiid terrorizes other players at the rim however just like all "2-way" stars he can be inconsistent overall because of the massive offensive and defensive burden he carries
@@theblacksoldier2725somehow this gets lost on people every year. Like sure if you wanna take jokic, luka, etc. over embiid because they're much less injury prone then sure whatever. But the insane amount of criticism he gets for playing through a massive injury and *only* looking like a top 10-15 player instead of top 5 and mvp is mind blowing. Not to even mention how bad the team around him is and how doc is a historically bad coach

Where was I? Oh, that's easy - I was watching Dame bend my team over and proceed to do unspeakable things to my team over and over again with no lubracation. Never has a win for my team felt more like a loss.

I'd say Kyrie, he's a more efficient scorer and has better handles, I also like his game off the ball, he moves more than Dame in my opinion

Dame's better at getting to the rim and line, a better and more versatile 3 point shooter off the dribble and away from the ball, and a comfortably better playmaker.
This is a pretty easy answer to me, as good as Kyrie is!
With comparisons I always like to switch places of the players for a little bit. Dame with the Nets/Mavs would absolutely dominate, while Kyrie with Portland would be so bad.
