That thicker beam makes them way more comfortable when you need to pull on the wrench really hard. I've got a bunch of snap-on wrenches too, but when I went looking for a new set, Mac PT was the number 1 option for me.

As I get older and I’m in my 60s, the thicker Mac and comfort grips on my Snap on ratchets make my hands happy

They are great wrenches. I have them and I agree with you. I love the Mac wrenches. I also have the Snap-On wrenches and also love them. Both are great wrenches.

Eight Penny.. New subscriber here!! I would love to get me the 6mm to 32mm set of the Mac precision torque wrenches. Been wanting them since they came out. One day, right?

There were some flyers a while back where you buy the metric and get the standard free in the smaller wrenches and big ones, and that's when I bought mine to have at home. So far, I love them and have no complaints. I have old mac wrenches from the 60s that were my great grandpa's, so it's cool seeing the old sabina ohio wrenches compared to the Taiwanese.

I have both Snap-on & MAC tools in my shop along with Carlyle on our crew trucks. I Love Mac PT wrenches and I like them in their case (in open case position) in my toolbox for quick access.
We like Snap-on chrome everything, especially sockets, extension & ratchets and we think MAC has the best impact sockets & impact swivels.
Snap-on has the absolute best pliers and MAC pliers are garbage.
Snap-on instinct screwdrivers are superior by far, but try the MAC Soft grip screwdrivers also, as they are pretty dang nice.
MAC absolutely builds the best bit set, try their 123 pc ratcheting screwdriver set or the MAC 121 pc RBRT bit set.

I also have the Snap-on Master series toolboxes & roll carts along with the MAC Macsimizer 6627 toolbox & Macsimizer 4125 Rollcart. We think they both are great and we call them a Tie for quality, availability, function & price.

Been wanting to upgrade mine and I really like the Mac PT but sadly enough I don't have a Mac dealer so Snap-on it is lol. Thank you for sharing

I love those wrenches. I keep them in my go bag because they are great wrenches and the case makes them convenient. I have wrightgrip 2.0, Proto USA 6 points, Matco spline and then these Mac wrenches. I use the Mac the most because of how convenient they are to take with me and they feel great in the hand.

I’ve been waiting for them to get the metrics back in stock online. I bought some USAG 285x for when I need something out and don’t mind damaging the fastener in the process.

Facom predated the usag and is the true OEM.

I have to say it so maybe someone else can chime in. That box design has been around forever. I have old USA Barcalo and Power kraft that have it. And the rust on them is older than I am.

I was doing some research on these wrenches and came across facom wrenches that looks exactly alike. Some say there rebrand from mac. I like the mac, my co-worker has those and i tried it feel good in the hand.

Stanley black & decker owns both the Mac brand and the Facom brand. It's the same tool with a different brand name stamped on it
That's what my Mac rep told me, anyway.

Found the metric 6-19mm at a pawn shop for $150USD, slammed my wallet on the counter. Brand new practically. I’m waiting for my MAC dealer to get me the SAE. Also, if you want to try anything MAC, their RBRT bit set. Saved my ass so much it isn’t even funny.

Pawn deals are rare, you have to move quick like you did.

I have those snap on wrenches 🔧, I was about 11 years old when they were bought and now I’m 47 , I’ve bought the HF ect over the years but I don’t care for them the same . These Mac wrenches look nicer than the snap on id buy em too if I used them everyday

    • @RcPlayer-tt2vw
      @RcPlayer-tt2vw 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Exactly you can pass them down till your kids and they’ll be exactly the same 30 years later . You not doing that with cheap tools 🧰 nor would you want too .

I’ve tried them but I can’t get past the size of the open end. I’m spoiled with snap on. I like the precision flex heads since snapon doesn’t have much of a selection

I like the new long handle close quarters ratchet wrenches icon has them for under 300 and snap on over 600 .

I would. Abundance is a good thing over time…
I have so many wrenches now.
I have 3 full sets of mastercraft
2 sets of snap-on in metric and sae
1 set of vintage snap on in sae and metric
      One set of signet sae
And now one set of MAC metric

Rather than 'diversity', I think what you've got there is a 'complementary' set of wrenches....the Snappys work best in most situations, but there are times when a slightly different pattern will give you an advantage in access or grip. I have the USAG 285x set and I love them....they're not an every day driver, but when you need that offset or extra grip, they rise to the occasion.

i’m eyeing the Mac ratcheting wrench. I think they are TW, not USA. your thoughts on the ratcheting version?
