    Bro…. I hate mechanics that are brand exclusive, if you know how to use the tool properly most of the top tier brands work just fine hell I know plenty of master mechanics that use Pittsburgh from harbor freight. I have mostly Matco and Milwaukee with a few here and there items from other manufacturers. Been in the automotive industry for 25 years. Just use the best tool, your brain

      @@poreacts8880 Go multiple yourself. This was a simple observation of one tool to another and how they work or don’t. Leave the sermon somewhere else.

      Don’t be but hurt guy, when your using the offset side of course it will angle your grip towards the engine that’s how the tool is made, maybe next time do an honest tool review and you won’t get clowned on your content. Sorry I was trying to be nice with the first comment but you couldn’t take constructive criticism very well

    while click types do have their place ,Beam type ARE more accurate,but we are not talking about the 25$ ones,,when Dodge was building the viper engines, click type were BANNED from the engine assembly building..only beam type were use to assemble the viper engines,and yes they cost more than 300$..

    I was just using a click type torque wrench to tighten an axle bolt to 150 pounds. The click was so FAINT that I did not HEAR it and went past 150 pounds.

    Level with you mate, a beam torque wrench you can take out of the box, use, and put back with no worries. To have a click type last long, you need to unwind it every day. And even then it’s an inevitability that the click type will slowly have spring creep.

    Any style of torque that isn’t calibrated properly can cause damage.

  • @brianwilliams766
    @brianwilliams766 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Click style are just as accurate, and more fool proof than digital. Digital just beeps to indicate spcified torque. Clickers 'fall off' at the set torque, creating a dead zone that prevents you from over tightening, and gives you enough time to react and not push past.

    Rather than 'diversity', I think what you've got there is a 'complementary' set of wrenches....the Snappys work best in most situations, but there are times when a slightly different pattern will give you an advantage in access or grip. I have the USAG 285x set and I love them....they're not an every day driver, but when you need that offset or extra grip, they rise to the occasion.

    So I have two of the 100 tooth Cynergy ratchets. I too have been able to make them free spin by pushing the direction selector in. But what I've noticed is that I don't thinks a relationship between pushing the selector straight in, I honestly feel like when I've done it and been able to replicate the free spin I'm actually turning the selector ever sooooo slightly. I'ts extremely hard to push the selector in and not have it spin a very little bit. I'm wondering if in doing so, because the teeth are finer if thats just enough disengagement to take the teeth out of contact. I'd be curious to hear what you think too.

    This is the ratchet for pretty much everything. A couple years ago I got out of automotive and back into marine. Immediately I was wanted a 1/4 version. The bend makes it possible to use as a speeder handle once you get the hang of it. The snap on 1/4 flex head speeder handle is my new number one now!

  • @sheehan1994
    @sheehan1994 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Absolutely hated my 100 tooth. Not even gonna talk about the back drag issue. The screw that holds the head to the handle is much smaller and the threads on the handle are so fine that they strip out incredibly easy. It starts to loosen up and the head gets super floppy, so naturally you tighten the screw and it inevitably strips the threads. This happened to me 3 times in a 4/5 month span. After the 3rd time I gave it back to my dealer and got my money back. Not good

  • @beef9c1
    @beef9c1 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Lookie here friend, it is because no one ever told you that you are suppose to get your clicker type torque wrench calibrated before the use of the tool. That way it is setup for the correct & proper torque for all bolts & nuts. i see people forget to return the tool to either zeroI or the lowest when the finish use of the tool. also I see alot people unknown of this knowledge for the this tool. I still use my clicker torque tool to this day because it still get calibrated every year & I cannot rely on tool with failed batteries.
