Oh man! Simon is my step uncle! I love that man! We spent many summers with them! His step mother was my grandma! We visited him in PA a few summers ago.
Y’all have an inspirational family! I love how respectful of each other you are and that you serve the Lord in His way for you, as you are all gifted by Him. ❤
I enjoyed your conversation with Mr. Troyer today, so I bought the book from Amazon. Thank you for your service to our country, sir. I don't know much about the Amish world other than what I've learned from your channel and Montana Haven's. It'll be interesting to read your story!! Thank you for sharing the video! 🙂
Ruth here, there are all kinds of amish, my parents grew up amish, my husband grew up catholic, the old catholic and amish a lot alike. In Ohio wayne homes county about the best amish but a lot of denominations a lot of sex sin going on, people are going to be astounded when this comes out, l want it exposed. My brother learned how to read german, we can speak Pennsylvania Dutch so for him it wasn't hard, he taught the amish, even the really strick amish out of the scriptures,
Very interesting and I will be getting Mr. Simon Troyer's book. Thank you "Sir" for your service and for sharing your story. I've become intrigued with many stories of folks leaving the Amish. In 2011 my husband and I met two former Amish gentlemen in Hannibal, Mo. Their names were Glen Yoder and I believe his brother was named William. Glen was taking people on wagon tours around the town of Hannibal and that's how we met. My husband visited at length with his brother while I shopped for quilt fabric. Fast forward to 2022 and I begin watching videos on TH-cam about the Amish and find Pricilla Miller and her mother in a video attending a funeral for an aunt. Then I started following Montana Haven and watched very interesting details of how your Father and Mother came to believe differently also. Found lots of videos on many of the Yoders separating from Old Order Amish and even some speaking of a Glen Yoder and I wondered if it might be the same man we had met in Hannibal and the only way I could be certain was that "our Glen" walked with a limp resulting from childhood polio. Finally, I found a video of a Mr. Glen Yoder preaching at a small Baptist church in a town in Missouri and sure enough it was the same gentleman! I'm thankful to have connected a few dots and feel blessed to follow the Millers and the Mullet Family!
Thank You For your Comment. We may know this Glen you are talking about. Here is a link to the ex-Amish of many of the people we know. Thanks for watching. th-cam.com/video/vXGLOD95Yus/w-d-xo.htmlsi=g8uTxx5Ki9h207H1
Yes! that's him. That's the video that I found and knew it was the same man. My husband has passed but he would be so very happy! And the story goes on,,, I now live about 15 miles from an Amish community and know some Yoders and Bontragers!! Small world. @@mulletfamilymontana
That tree has a special place in Simmons heart, his dad planted that tree a few years from when Simon was born, and Simon milled the tree and made that table. Marvin.
Did Meadowlark Log Homes build the log home. After watching the love and care that Joas and the family take in building their home I'm in awe of them. Have been following them jow for over a year and especially wirh rhem moving to Alaska and the beautiful home Joas and his sons have built there. They're such a lovely family to watch and how they all work very hard. Love them x
The Amish: and leaving it is always interesting.. We have nothing that remotely resembles the Amish and Amish life in the Scottish Highlands..[SADLEY] Going to the Military amazing. Service to your Country just the best.. Kindness every-ones way.. Lochness Scottish Highlands.

Did Meadowlark Log Homes make that table?
No, meadowlark log homes did NOT make it. I do believe Uncle Simon himself. built that beautiful Table 😊
@@mulletfamilymontana I don’t care who built it, but I want it. Must be more than $4K for that piece of fine work
