Johan from the unofficial Koenigsegg Registry here! These two CCR's are chassis #022, which is the black (originally red) one, and the orange one is chassis #025.
Unfortunately we don't have a good check on the current whereabouts of the cars, but judging by the mold and overall rough condition of them they might actually go back to the factory in Ängelholm for a refurbish and maybe even a full rebuild.

@VINwiki , They are in Sydney Australia im 99% sure. License plate MR X. They are both stored under car covers in a suburb in western Sydney.
No they're on display in Melbourne mate. They were at the Grand opening of Koenigsegg Melbourne as far as I know. They look exactly the same as the ones that were on display.

Saw one in Orange at Top gear 2012 in Melbourne, Australia That was the only Koenigsegg in Australia back then.

The price was a steal! You could easily get everything from Koenigsegg. You might have to be invest another 100k or maybe 200k but after that you’d have 2 amazing cars.

It's weird when Ed does these talks - when he has guest speakers, I always assume they're telling these stories to him just outside the frame, but when he talks, I can't help but imagine him looking at an empty chair while the camera films him from our POV.
the rudimentary development of those early Koenigseggs is a big part of their charm/appeal and adds to the appreciating value and collectibility factor. When those early cars would sell used for like 300k I knew it wouldn’t last long

The CCR unofficially took the top speed record away from McLaren back in 2005 when it hit 388km/h at Nardo. That only lasted 2 months anyway because Bugatti blew past it with its verified 408km/h average bi-directional run in the Veyron.
Officially, Koenigsegg still holds the top speed record with the Agera RS.

Those older Koenigseggs looked to have Raid Airbag steering wheels on them. One of my 3 series has one that I put on it and it is a really cool aftermarket part. A new steering wheel can really change how it feels to drive a car.

say reserve is 120 000 USD, and someone bids130 000 USD, their bid will stay at 120 000 USD and auto-raise up until 130 000 USD. You place a bid of 125K and theirs autoraises above yours at the minimum increment until 130K USD. Usually the "up to" bids are not listed, just the increments. Hence if you bid anywhere between the reserve and the listed bid (maybe some korean law forcing it to be listed?) you woulda lost the bid anyways.
Ed, next time reach out to the ExPat community. It's quite large in Korea because of all of the U.S. Military that has been stationed there.

The owner of a small bank got arrested for a list of white crimes that resulted in the chapter 11 of the bank about 10 years ago. This event left so many victims who put money more than the coverage by the Korean fdic into the savings of his banks. His lavish possessions were confiscated by the government, but the douche bag decided to hide the keys of the cars from the government. So, up until now he is the only one who knows where the car keys are. He ain’t got the cars but he’s got the keys. I heard that the cars were auctioned off on the news but it never came across my mind that you were after one of the cars.
At very least it gets us a great car story
