I agree with him. I have dual citizenship in American and Japan. NOBODY knows what I'm saying in my native language. It's a culture shock, but you need to get with the times in order to advance.
Way to tell it Gene. My grandparents came immigrated to the US after WWI. They came from Denmark. They had to have a sponsor that would see to all their needs. They learned English and all their daughters born here only knew English. However, my grandparents both went to a German and Danish club where they would speak their native language. But outside that, they only spoke English. They also learned US customs and celebrated its holidays.
Love him or hate him, it cannot be argued that Gene is spot-on with this point! Immigrate here legally, and learn to speak English! That will open the door to success.
I saw a short Gene did and it was about being American first and learning to speak English and “lose your accent” I’m Canadian and totally agree that if you come to north America you MUST learn English!!!? However when he said lose the accent well wtf is that and he goes on here to say if Siri can’t understand you your screwed Well Gene that’s ridiculous I totally agree with pretty much everything else he said.
