The Pastels had an innocence that few bands have been able to pull off successfully. But Steven and the band are the best in the world at it. Unknown to them. At the time. They must look back and think 'Wow, how good were we?' One of Glasgow's finest melodic composers of the musical art form, The Pastels excelled in an era of intense Glasgow Teenage Superstardom.
My original Chapter-22 vinyl copy of this is sitting in a box in Mexico and probably very fucked by the heat and the fact it hasn't been played in 15 years. This is why I love the interwebz - thanks for the upload!

Stephen Pastel is someone who should be mentioned a lot more nowadays when it comes to indie music, it sucks bands like the Pastels, Television Personalities, Beat Happening... etc. Never get mentioned

BEST ALBUM EVER!!! I had it on cassette, and lost it in a move when I was 13. Best ever
