Ever since Audrey Geisel put a halt to live-action Dr. Seuss movies after The Cat in the Hat, this will probably be the closest thing to getting an official sequel to Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Obviously there’s no Jim Carrey in the skit and Pete Davidson is all they had, but it’s still really good
When Pete Davidson lets himself get into it, he does great things with sketches. He did an amazing job with Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer a few Christmases ago. His Grinch here was beyond wonderful. Definitely had a Tim Curry vibe to it, and if he worked on it Pete could do Tim's deep voice. He's doing some great rap parody videos, too. But I love it when he gets a chance to really act. More movies, Pete!
