- Stage one of my Overwintering Greenhouse project... Getting ready for the UK winter, and my thoughts on flatpack wooden greenhouses
My phone camera was having a melt down, and my speech Impediment kicked in for this video..
I'm Mark's partner and I can vouch it and Mark was a nightmare putting it together. I was going to make him move out into it 😂😮
Might be very nice out there. once the heating is on 🤣🤣🤣

You could try some caulk saver, basically round foam rope like lengths that can be squeezed into the spaces. I've used it on the old wooden floor gaps before carpet to stop drafts
Never seen caulk saver, where would you get that from ?
These flat packs are never easy, I am sure the air was blue, but it will do the job 😊
The air was very blue 🤣... But yeah hopefully it will do the job, only time will tell 👍
From experience, I would foam rather than silicone the gaps. If you feel like running to the expense. I would put some insulation on the inside of the wooden walls, and some foam insulation or polystyrene sheets and put that on the floor and stand your plants on that. The easiest insulation is probably the foil roll you can cut to size and staple to the wood. If you cut it long enough it can overlap on to the floor to cover the gaps at the bottom. That will help keep the heat in.
Hi Andrew... Was going to use polystyrene sheets on the inside wooden walls... and you are right... expanding foam will be better for gaps... I just need to silicone some of the windows...
Was also thinking about standing the plants on something inside the greenhouse..
Thanks for your ideas 💡 👍

looks great, bloody hate flat pack 😂🤦♂️ it becomes an expensive hobby quickly 😂🤦♂️🤦♂️
Was a nightmare to put together for sure.... pretty much finished it on Sunday, just got to fit the heater and thermostat... and then try and treat the wood outside.
After last nights strong winds and heavy rain, we did have a leak in the roof, but not suprised with the quality of it... will have to seal the roof for sure..
@@markchitty6505 ah yeah not the best week to put it up with all the rain, but needs must haha! sounds like its pretty much there now, should be a good space for all the tender tropicals as well !
