i throw jerry just behind enemy and hit the enemy with jerrys projectile then throw tennis balls and cahrge my racket attack its risky but if i hit my charge ill hit the enemy as well as the tennis balls and itll do quit damage and knowck back
I use my left trigger for neutral special (I forgot to mention this in the video lol). It helps me out a lot because I feel like I'm able to use my right hand to aim without having to press anything down
I think hes super nerfed now if im being honest i used to play and never lose (w/o spamming) on 1v1s and now i win maybe once every so often against players of similar or higher skill.. i used to be able to compete without trying my hardest and now its quite literally impossible
You forgot to mention that while charging/using the tennis racket, jerry will shoot a cork toward tom at the start of the attack regardless of the direction. So you can stand in front of jerry and hit it as a projectile

I reccomend using the 5% perk. The Dynamite Split is only really good against shield-heavy characters such as WW. The singular dynamites create for more situations that creates potential escapes and string combos.
I don't use dynamite super often and though the extra ammo is great for escapes, the fact the dynamite split scales with the racket hold charge scaling means it lowkey does crazy damage and with practice you can set up a 38 dmg combo using only dynamite and 1 charged racket swing
and I do want to add, in 2s where I spend most of my time. having the dynamite be able to disrupt both enemies at the same time, fairly consistently, is a really nice tool to have.

Grew up on tom & jerry and video games but never played fighting games in this style besides mortal combat, getting this game and being able to play tom and jerry was super exciting but just was met with so much skill requirement 😭. Spent the last two days trying to figure everything out on my own because other videos weren’t very well made. Made this desperate search and this video helped so much understanding the character and showing me how to learn to use it, this video was so amazing and so helpful preciate the hard work 😁

Any good perk builds for survivability or defense? I have a great offensive build for Tom and Jerry but the moment I get matched against an assassin on a small stage, I get cooked.

You can shoot jerry at the enemy. And then tennis balls. If the enemies close the gap on you and you can hit the tennis balls you can switch sides with the enemy and pick up jerry to line up the shot with the enemies and the tennis balls. Jerry will knock the balls at you again for another set up and you should have a clear shot. If the enemy goes for jerry you have enough time to send a rocket and hit the tennis balls.
hey i been seeing some people reflect the tennis balls and for some reason the tennis balls follow the opponent, I was just wandering if you know how to do it
There’s something he didn’t talk about if you have Jerry you can bounce tennis balls off of him and it goes back to you for a Ezz hit so it can do dmg yea grate vid very helpful

As a Tom and Jerry main u missed a detail with the rod and that is like the dynamite being used as a shotgun this rod is a equivalent of a sniper that arcs and anti air if they are air spamming which gives a good call to it sadly the thing has barely a sweet spot anymore which if u did that u basically insta kill someone with around 50-60% I got 45 double ringlets cuz of that fishing rod (edit: whoops my bad u mentioned the air thing) (Edit final: you can also use the mousetrap as a defensive mechanism if your Jerry is gone to by time for the cool down to recover and use it as a defensive wall and just try to use hook if he's gonna camp the other side lowering that opponents stamina)
Tom and Jerry is so easy I don't know how people get respect by playing them. Whenever I play Tom and Jerry it's just easy but apparently whenever I play against a Tom and Jerry they look like they're spamming every move and THAT REQUIRES SKILL? It doesn't call him back you have to make sure that Jerry is in the path of the hook when it retrieves back to you

It’s when you’re running for a bit and then hit a regular melee attack in a certain direction I’m pretty sure
So just hold run then basic attack
