    Does paint on gel dry up?

      I am not sure I understand the question. Do you mean does paint on the gel plate dry? Or using a gel medium with paint? I use slow drying acrylics on the gel plate because regular acrylics dry to fast for the processes I am using. If you don't have slow drying acrylics, you can use a retarder or gel with the paint to extend dry time. I hope that helps.
