He worked at a local grocery store and was always busy. One sunny morning, Tom decided to go for a walk in the park. He wanted to enjoy the fresh air and the warm sunshine. He put on his favorite jacket, grabbed his wallet, and left his house. While he was walking through the park, he saw a little dog playing with a ball. The dog was very happy, jumping and running around. Tom smiled and watched the dog for a moment. Then, he continued walking down the path. As he walked, he reached into his pocket to check his phone. Thatâs when he realized something was wrong. His wallet was missing! Tomâs heart started to race. He remembered that his wallet had his money, credit cards, and his ID card inside. He needed to find it, and he needed to find it fast. He turned around and started to retrace his steps. He walked back to the place where he saw the little dog playing, but the wallet wasnât there. He asked a few people in the park, "Excuse me, have you seen a wallet?" But no one had seen it. Tom felt a little sad and worried. He thought about all the things he would have to do if he didnât find his wallet, like canceling his credit cards and getting a new ID. Just when Tom was about to give up, a young boy came running toward him. The boy was holding something in his hand. "Excuse me, sir," the boy said, a little out of breath. "Did you lose a wallet?" Tomâs eyes lit up. "Yes, I did!" he said. "Is that my wallet?" The boy smiled and handed the wallet to Tom. "I found it on the ground near the swings," he said. "I thought someone might come looking for it." Tom was so happy and relieved. He opened the wallet to check, and everything was still inside-his money, his cards, and his ID. "Thank you so much!" Tom said to the boy. "You really saved me a lot of trouble." The boy smiled and said, "No problem! Iâm just glad I could help." Tom wanted to reward the boy, so he took out a five-dollar bill and gave it to him. "Here, take this as a thank-you," Tom said. The boy looked surprised and shook his head. "No, thank you," he said. "I didnât do it for the money. I just wanted to do the right thing." Tom felt grateful and proud of the young boy. He thanked him again and promised to always be honest and kind, just like the boy. As he walked back home, Tom thought about how lucky he was to meet someone who cared enough to return his lost wallet. From that day on, Tom always made sure to be more careful with his belongings. He also promised himself that he would always try to help others, just like the boy had helped him. It was a small act of kindness, but it made a big difference in Tomâs life. Tom learned two important lessons that day: always keep an eye on your things, and never underestimate the power of a good deed. Sometimes, even a simple act of kindness can change someoneâs day or even their life.
