There is a story in our descent Pilipino city, one of our Millionaire who owns ranches, farm lands (now family corp.), hotel, hospitals & others, when he went to the U.S. in a bar, ordered the most expensive beer, he was given a San Miguel (shocked, it our normal beer) then he ask again for US beer.
Awww mike and Nelly one of my fave vloggers...
used to be together but Nelly is fine atm.. i hope so.. i love her
theyve already broken up but yeah they created great vids for their viewers
I used to watch them a lot. They broke up but they stayed in Ph even after breaking up.
I still follow Nelly. But I only watch Mike when his parents are in the video.
@@MikkosFree
I only watch Nelly... since they got separated ..
@@burningcalmnesswhy they separated? 😱😱😱
@@k3nn28I think they had not been too specific about the break up…but kinda odd that mike found a partner not even a year after this…I still follow Nelly, not mike
Same here,, I only watch Nelly
Filipino here, just subscribe.
Ginebra San Miguel GIN is an 80-proof Dutch-type gin made from sugarcane alcohol.
Tanduay Rum is made from varieties of heirloom sugar cane, using only first-syrup A-grade molasses.
im a fan of their vlogg,,unfortunately they were separated and have their own channel now, but still live in the phil.
Then react on " Philippine 101: Filipino Drinking Etiquette"
Gin is my go to drink, second is red horse and third is the pale pilsen or the regular beer. I am a filipino by the way.
I have a story with Ginebra (the cheap Gin). I was visiting the province as I was invited as an entourage at a wedding. I was about 22 at the time. I am in that age where I can interact with the teens and young adults and with the adults. I was sitting at the drinking table, it was a long table. On one end there is the teens section and on the other end the adults, I was sat down smack dab in the center. In the Philippines, there is a tradition called "tagay" or "tagayan" where there is a shared shot glass for all participants of the drinking session and is drunk in a round-robin fashion. A "tangero", the guy that pours out the drink into the shot glass, hands out to the next drinking person. As I was either an adult and a teen, I was participating on both rounds of tagay from the teens and adults end. We were drinking Gin with only water as chaser, which is considered the hardcore way of drinking Gin. It would be an understatement to say that I was on Mars after the drinking session was over. I was crawling on all fours the morning after. I was just fortunate to not throw up my guts out. It was fun but if was hell after. Would I try to do this again? Hell yeah I would! Hahahahah.
I've never tasted Tanduay but that Gin is a favorite. Red Horse Beer and San Miguel Beer are kinda like the rivals when it comes to beers. Foreigners will find those drinks really cheap. I don't know much about the prices but the Red Horse now is like more or less than a dollar. And that Gin is like More or less 3 dollars
28:25 that gin, we call it Gin Bulag(blind), because once you drink it, your eyes will close and see nothing :D you need to lick some lemons or Kalamansi after drinking it.
TANDUAY RHUM or we call it TANDUAY DARK in our local dialect, it is smooth and very good. When u look at the bottle there are 10 medals more or less won in different country like Spain etc,
Just wanted to say, the 2 last drinks with 80% alcohol, tanduay rhum and the gin.... i tasted both, but we mixed it with Tang juice, a local brand of instant juice, which has diff. flavors... so the tanduay, we were mixing it with grape flavored Tang, with Ginebra Gin, were mixing it with pineapple or orange flavored Tang juice,
And they all taste reaaaallly delicious.
AN 80% Alcohol for ladies!😅
Nelly & Mike were still a couple in this particular vlog. They broke up 2 yrs ago. I think Mike is now married to a Filipina. Both of them are still living here in the Philippines as permanent residents. Nelly lives in BGC, the most modern district in Metro Manila. They first came here in 2016 i think and came back to stay.
Red Horse. Always the choice of champions and rockstars.
I think that lady is austrian/german, she know beer
Nelly is Austrian
That’s Mike and Nelly They’re not separated and they’re both happy with their new partners.
also i think you also do try these drinks, some are available as imports or available in Filipino Grocery Stores
They used to be one of my fave vloggers...until they broke up the engagement. Was that 14 or 15 years together? But i still watch them on their separate channels from time to time. Anyways, that Ginebra gin burns a lot. I had it once. never did it touched my throat, just tasted a few drops but i already felt it burning on my lips. That and Absolut vodka almost took my spirit away 😅.
14 years from what I recall. I'm not much of a drinker when it comes to alcohol (I've only tried Seagrams here in the states since I love my wine coolers) but what the hey, maybe one day, I'd like to try the San Miguel just to see if I would like it or not. I've heard some good reviews about San Miguel before. I'd like to give it a taste maybe when I return back to the Philippines whenever I get the chance to visit my cousins there the next time.
The world doesn't know where San Miguel Beer came from..
If you want to try those drinks, go to Asian Stores or Philippine Store near your area.
Gin traditionally comes from juniper berries.
When they said a historical figure you want to have a drink with? & what would you be drinking? My first thought was Rosa Parks & Louis XIII De Remy Martin Cognac. Which is strange being an Aussie & don't drink Cognac, let alone expensive Cognac.
They didnt try TUBA. thats Filipino fermented and alcoholic beverage that obtained from coconut palm
I used to drink Ginebra gin and Tanduay rhum when I needed a quick buzz when I was in college. LOL
Since tomorrow is Saturday, the family just had Red Horse earlier and some dancing!
The gin (the cheapest one) is usually mixed with something when locals drinks it
I think Mike now has a Coffee Shop in one of our big Malls, and another new one is coming along with a new big Mall to be opened.
The canned pale pilsen beer taste close to the original Budweiser
You guys should really visit the Philippines...
Dude the tanduay whnewe drink it we mix it with juice and after we pour the tanduay in the pitcher we light the bottle and soak it the pitcher watch the tanduay go back in the bottle.
Take it easy with the red horse beer guys, although it is really a good beer it does packed a kick the next day, literally. It took me almost a day to get over my hangover, so if you are not really in for a very strong beer, then I would suggest the pale Pilsen to be a better choice to pick. And better yet, just drink moderately. Cheers!🙂😊😜
nice guys 2 days ago😍almost watch all your videos😅😍
the tanduay with redhorse ,i mean make the redhorse as a cheaser and with the tanduay...
Want to know how to prepare Ginebra Gin?? or what we call Gin bilog?
watch this : The Art of Gin Bilog Mix (A Filipino Cocktail) | Cinematic Sequence
Thats also our fav.blogger.Nelly and Mike❤❤❤❤❤
Surprisingly, San Mig Light is not a lot "lighter" as in lower alcohol than regular San Mig. Red Horse is stronger and more malty, but not crazy. The cheapest version of Tanduay and Ginebra is pretty much paint thinner, but they have more fancy versions of Tanduay that are more drinkable.
the good old "gin bulag" and the happy horse the good old days
you can drink beer not after gym wherein you had strength training i think they meant was after a workout wherein you had a long run or you had cycling its ok great to drink beer afterwards a bottle or two
You should try our native Basi, Tuba and Lambanog. My grandpa had a big glass jar of lambanog with raisins and a snake inside.
we have a strong warning in advertising about alcohol "DRINK MODERATELY" but there's a random guy drunk bottle of Tandaway rum in 2 gulp 🥃🗿 🇵🇭
"DRINK MODERETSO !"😅
These two been in the Philippines for years and even started their own business. Unfortunately they separated ways and the guy found a new love. They became citizens couples of years ago. The benefit of alcohol is actually life longevity. My grandmother died at 94 and she drank a bottle of beer each day. And she even smoke one stick a day. It’s always about moderation. It sucks the alcohol they import into the US is more concentrated. But the way Nelly is Austrian and Mike is German. You guys should react to how Philippines saved the Jews. The last drink Tanduay by the way because the official alcohol sponsor of the Golden States Warriors before the pandemic. You can get these alcohol at Asian and Filipino markets but it’s not as hard as they do back home
Its so sad because they separated already
You should try Lambanog and tuba... here in the US the closest one you can get is San Miguel and Red Horse in any asian or filipino store.
I always watch Nellys vlog when they got separated ❤
i love REDHORSE….❤❤❤
Gin from the Philippines come from fermented sugarcanes. As is with some rhums.
React to 101 Filipino drinking etiquette
You'll love it
Look at the logo of the ginebra san miguel gin the picture of saint michael(on top)defeating the devil(st the bottom picture) but when you down the damn bottle it is slready upside down the devil on top rhen the angel under or below 😅😅😅😅
Ginebra unlike other cheap gin actually has flavor otherwise we wouldn’t drink it even if it’s cheap. Red horse is deceiving because it’s really malty it has a sweet after taste. Engkanto the craft beer is relatively new in the market. Good beer but a bit more expensive for the average Filipino. There is a party beer called tanduay ice which hardly gets anyone drunk but flavorful. San miguel has premium beers with flavors. Does’t diminish the effect but just more palatable.
You know there’s this story among beer drinkers on why it’s called “Red Horse Beer”… it’s because the hangover feeling is that you’ve been kicked by a horse in the head. Yep! Its a creeper.
Hawaii's default is Heineken 😂
Making it happen no more
Red horse beer have an alcohol content of 8%
Lambanog Bantangas there is the winner of all drinks, everyone who can drink wakes up drunk when we wake up it's under the ground that's how cruel you are lambanog when you drink it you are so when you drink it you will really wake up😅
In the Philippines we also had this kind of habit after a drinking session we called "WASHING" its mean after drinking like Tanduay rhum , Ginebra Gin, whatever you drink and even how many bottles you consume in that session.. We wash with beer like Red horse beer... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So the drinking session continue until you give up. 😂😂😂😂
Yes that gin lights up im a witness to that
They forgot the tuba Philippine rs wine
i recommend react8ng to Boragrt the explorer on Filipino drinking etiquette
nothing is forever
Hey dude you try a red horse beer in your channel
I usually take a shot of Ginebra San Miguel before and after my check point and patrol duty during the lockdown here in the Philippines. Covid 19 does not stand a chance against this Gin.
GINEBRA SAN MIGUEL.....the ordinary filipino guys drink.....drink responsibly
Okay,they're getting drunk.😅😂
Please react to mission souls a family band in the Philippines
The logical next video to watch is "Filipino drinking etiquette" by Bogart the Explorer, unless you have already seen it.
I know that video's a little old but, "makulit" means "naughty", not "chicken".
I did not see Lambanog which is like the US moonshine.
Fun story: a whole gang was drinking Lambanog in a campfire. One cheated saying he spitted out water. But to challenge what he said a lighter was set near where he spitted and a huge flame emerged. Funny.
please react to filipino drinking etiquette 101
i LOVE ❤️💕❤️ Mike & Nelly. I’m #1 FAN of their channeL called ( Making it Happen ) for a couple of years. They’re engaged 💕💍💍💍💕 in the #Philippines & sadly to say they separated. Mike now is dating a Filipina 💔🙄😭 & Nelly’s still blogging in the Philippines & some parts of the world.
They used to be my favorite until they have broken up. Mike has a Filipina wife now and I unsubscribed to his channel. I still subscribed to Nelly's channel though. Anyways, the most popular among Filipinos is the Red Horse.
Lambanog is the strongest with a 90% alcohol
