A really good one I currently use when filming for my clients is spotlight mode As a result, you can adjust the drone’s altitude, distance, or circle around, and the Mini 3 Pro will constantly adjust the camera to face the object you selected , what I love is you can get it to circle at a set speed in one direction and while its filming you can then reverse the direction and also move up and down , I've got some really good footage from doing this... worth mastering for sure.
You know Jason, I completely agree. I've just been filming this week and I used a location point and POI so I could walk through the movement while adjusting the altitude. Awesome. Thanks for sharing your tips 😉
You are the man!! That was extremely helpful to a young cinematographer❤
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate that.
The remote transition 😊😍
😁 got to have a bit a fun
Just smooth Tim, really smooth.
Thanks, that's the look I was going for 🤣
Great instructional Video Tim
Thanks buddy
Hello Tim, thanks very interesting keep up your good work
Cheers Harry, I appreciate that.
Glad to find this video on Asteroid shots - I have a lot of trees in the way for most shots of homes. Now I will try starting the shot from birdseye looking down. But I will be ready to press stop just in case - Thanks!
Sounds like a good plan 😉
One more time a great tutorial friend! 🤜🤛💪👏👍
Oh buddy, you keep me going 😆🥰

Dziękuję.

Hi Tim great video full of exciting tips and stuff keep the Great videos coming.
Just a question we’re did you get that sound track and what it the title please
Thanks buddy. I think its by Flint, Feel the Air. On Artlist.io
I hope dji will add more Quickshots in the future
Interesting, what would you like to see added?
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency A combination of qs will do fine!
That falcon really wanted to know what was going on, eh? Looks like it was a good area (s) and nice day to drone.
Cheers, Chuck (Northeast Florida USA) : +)
Hi Chuck, yes it's lovely here in St Albans UK. It dates back to the Romans, then the Norman's knocked down their wall and built the Cathedral about 1500yrs ago.
Interestingly at first I only saw the drone footage which stopped recording when it detected an object. When I was editing I dropped in the screen recording which continued only to see the Falcon come in and turn with its claws out as if coming in to grab it's prey or at least a serious warning shot. Funny thing is we have lots of Red Kites around here and I've been trying to film then which has been impossible.
Awesome video! I always bring my drone (mini 3 pro) and try to “wing it” then I’m like: “Damn! Should’ve used the quick shots!” 🙆🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Awesome tutorial. Liked and Subbed 💯
Thanks Adriano, really appreciate it you dropping by. Definitely feeling like we've got a really cool community building here🫡
Those birds
Stunning
Ah that makes sense.
Thanks a lot for your explanations. I have a question: is it possible to record at 25 Fps with quickshots?
That's a good question, I can't remember, I'm out filming tomorrow, I'll try and remember to do a quick test. I know it is limited, like you can't do a flat log which h is a shame.
flying BVLOS on some of those quickshots...well done for helping the CAA put more restrictions on the hobby
Interesting how you come to that conclusion
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency flying around that cathedral really obvious you can't see the drone...constantly looking down at the screen and not even making an attempt to see it in the sky
Hi Tim can you tell me what type of mobile phone tri pod stand you have and were you brought it if you don't mind me asking.
As I am looking for a good one like yours as am just starting out setting things up.
All your videos are very inspirational to watch full of knowledge in great detail keep up the great footage.
Hi Mark, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. I use a travel tripod by Smallrig. Sturdy but packs down. DJI phone gimbal and DJI mic. You can find them all here kit.co/Slipstream hope that helps.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Thanks Tim
Just started with the Mini 3 Pro and this is SOOO helpful and better than the stuff that comes with the drone. Newbie question, did you ask anybody's permission to take those shots of the cathedral and launching, I assume, from the cathedral grounds? I know you are OK CAA wise. Many thanks.
Hey buddy, good question. As long as you take off from a location where you are not on the grounds of e.g. National Trust ground, and still have VLOS Visual Line of Sight and respect privacy, then you're all good.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Super, many thanks.
Tim thanks for your time in making these videos. I have a question, I took my Mini 3 pro for a flight this afternoon flying around a castle. I set up quick shot circle mode and it started off slow around 3/4 way around the castle it accelerated in speed still travelling in the circle. I tried this 3 times and it kept happening. I thought when I flew it before in this mode the speed was constant. Any idea thanks.
Hi Steve, yes, I believe what is probably happening is the drone is being affected by the wind, so one leg of the route is downwind. Although the drone should balance this out, they are small and light. I've noticed this myself but much less so on my Air 3 which is 3 x the weight and more powerful. Do you remember it being a bit breezy?
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Thanks for the reply. I did not notice any wind. I checked the flight log on Airdata and its starts of at 6mph and at the same point during the flight accelerated to 18 mph. It done that 3 times. I have just chatted with DJI and the will check the log and get back to me. Very odd
@stevehopleyg4ytk647 OK,that's interesting. Please do let me know what you find out 🕵♂️
Just a thought, im sure your flight log won't show the wind speed and its showing the speed of the drone. You might not have noticed the wind at ground level but at eg 400' it will be a fair bit stronger.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Hi I have had a reply to log flight from dji This is what they said. Upon checking my log.The speed of the Quick Shot video shooting process cannot be set manually. In order to achieve the final film effect and according to the distance of the subject, the aircraft will automatically adjust the speed. It is normal for the speed to become faster, and it is not shot at a constant speed.
It is posible to Edith duration of the shoot?
Sorry don't quite understand
Do quick shot modes work at night time in the dark?
Hi buddy, they would, in theory. The only problem you may have is you're selecting a target for each manoeuvre and that can be unreliable in the dark.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency thanks for the reply. I was thinking like a floodlit tennis court at night and going above and using some of the quick shot modes.
In theory that would work. It will be a balance of the drone being close enough to work and avoid obstacles. Remember there no side avoidance on the mini. So trial and error test.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency thanks a lot I will give it a try
Let me know how you get on.
I would be worried that the Peregrine falcon knocked into my drone. I often do my shots manually, but I think, quick shots offer a way to get a more Professional look shot.
I was pleased I didn't hurt the Falcon, I had no idea they were there. So staying clear.
We have a lot of Red Kites, and they're quite common now. I have tried filming them but found it impossible. How are you getting your shots?
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency I normally use my drone for filming buildings & structures. I can film or take pictures of large animals and get close enough without disturbing them, but for birds and small animals, I use my handheld P950 camera.
That could have been an interesting one to explain had you caused reckless harm to a nesting, legally protected species.
Oh boy! You're not wrong. I had no idea. I'm keeping well clear.
