The light is pretty bright. I think you can put a piece of black tape over the button to block it out if it bothers your baby. It did not bother mine. It’s not as bright as a night light, but it is bright.
All notifications can be set as a “push notification” which allows you to be notified even when the app is closed. I have the app set up on my phone and on my iPad. do you have any comparison to NANIT PLUS? I'm trying to decide between the two devices and reading about all the problems people have with miku connection and \customer service worries me
I have never had any other device. Just the Miku Pro. I’ve been using it for almost 5 months now and the only connection problem I ever had was when I got a new phone. I had to go through the connection process again. It’s never given me any problems. I know it has been a big issue with older models and older app versions. I’ve never had to call customer service either, so I can’t speak on that.

Almost 3 months. I’m still using it. I know the old model wasn’t as good as this newer model. Which one did you have?
