    I knew it was going to be a challenge to capture the subtle differences in exhaust note between the two bikes, so I just did the best I could! The 2012 definitely has a much lovelier note and it is a bit louder too. I could open the holes up even more if I ever want to turn up the volume some more. All in all I'm very pleased! Please like, share, and subscribe and we'll have more videos out soon.

    Love it Jay! Thinking about doing this to my GTL but wish there was a way to plug the holes to make the tone adjustable and stock sounding again like I did to my Goldwing. I posted a vid of me doing that but on a GW the muffler end caps come off giving access to the flat muffler ends. "Liked" your vid!🦾

    Sounds good. I may have to do the same with mine. Remember; the ‘12 has bigger balls too. Not a big difference but without a k note BrenTune the ‘20 will not catch it. Largely due to emissions hardware, etc. Strange looking rear tire tho. Looks like it came off a ‘50’s 1 ton IH truck. Definitely dosen’t look like a Pirelli Angel GT 2.

    Not for me. I never noticed there was some sort of flap in the two original fake outlet, I suppose to stop detritus. I'll have to take a look🤔.
    Sometimes less is more; when you wind up the 1600 engine with the factory exhaust it still sounds like a race car to me😉

    Is that a Wunderlich windshield? I just picked up my GTL yesterday and trying to get the grin off my face. I'd like to add a windshield with a vent like yours. The lower vent on my son's Street Glide makes a big difference when it's hot outside.

    • @JayBearjaysbigadventure
      @JayBearjaysbigadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one is a Cee Bailey, but I believe they are out of business. I think 7Jurok sells one with the vent. It really does help with cooling and reducing the 'push' from behind when the shield is all the way up.

    • @joshrandall5297
      @joshrandall5297 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The vent on the Steet Glide is designed to direct the air over your head and reduce buffeting. It's not designed to cool you.

    How much back pressure are you losing?
    Actually decreases performance.
    What’s the car tire doing on that bike ! That will really decrease the performance handling!!

    • @JayBearjaysbigadventure
      @JayBearjaysbigadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Back pressure, if completely eliminated only hurts the low end. This doesn't decrease it that much. As for the car tire, above 30 mph you can't tell it's there. And if you watch some of my videos in the mountains, you can verify that as well!

  • @jorgedasilva7501
    @jorgedasilva7501 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    But why do you ride a car tire mounted in the back?

    • @JayBearjaysbigadventure
      @JayBearjaysbigadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Half the cost, 4 times the tread life and no difference in feel above 30 mph. In parking lots, the bike doesn't want to fall over anymore, andi it only takes a teeny bit more steering effort at low speeds. Still able to outrun sport bikes in the twisties too!

    • @JayBearjaysbigadventure
      @JayBearjaysbigadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, so much longer tread life. The factory tire on the 2020 only made it 3600 miles. The car tire went 15000 and was half the money. And amazingly you can't tell it's there above 20 or 30 mph.

I then used drill to remove the top and bottom pipes completely (used grinder too). I kept middle piece so that I can mount back the oem back ring with two screws. Have not gotten a chance to ride yet but it is definitely louder. I hope it won't be too loud. If it is, I can always purchase oem exhaust. Nothing special.
