One of common characteristic among abnormality is that they will revert to an egg like state if they were to die and is able to hatch back from it they are renewable

I’m convinced kleaper is an actual necromancer at this point. He’s learned how to raise zombies, skeletons, and even giant interstellar leviathans. And now ghouls. It’s only a matter of time.
My dead pall lasted for 11 days and while it was not too deadly, I had just had a manhunter pack of tortoises and a ton of them in my walls came back about 20 times each! It was hilarious. I never thought it was going to end. I watched a few videos and all of those experienced MUCH shorter palls. I was very unlucky I guess. Randy was not smiling on me that day.
That sounds amazing. Now combine that with the massive swarms of bugs you get with Better Infestations mod. It would be APOCALIPTIC. I can't wait to see that.
One other thing about the ghouls, not only do they heal absurdly quickly... They have TWO others parts to that healing: A) They don't *bleed* at all, seriously to my knowledge they can't. B) As if that wasn't good enough, they also can GROW BACK parts of their body. (Example, their ear or such) So legit as long as whatever was stabbing/bashing/shooting them doesn't *kill* them outright, they'll recover in like 1 or 2 days tops.
Love this DLC. A few points I love. Funnest tech tree ever, you actually do research in a tangible sort of way. Ghouls are even better with power claws. And if your happy place is a slaughter house then boy ain't this the one for you. So. Much. MEAT.
I've played rimworld every day since Anomaly came out and I had ZERO idea the Grey Pall did that. Its happened almost constantly for me and I'm so glad I never decided to attack anything

Take this concept, and apply ice shelf. No need to freeze the corpses and transport them yourself. Just someone to replace the IEDs whenever they are set off. I'mma try this on a Solo Mechanitor run.

Used the Undead Dust Trap in a Killbox trap by setting up a tunnel full of bodys and IED's and whenever some attackers get in there they trigger the Trap and get swarmed by the undead.. so far it worked well and took down some big groups of enemys ^^ Nice idear Kleaper
You were far luckier than i was. One of the first advanced anomalys i got was a revenant which with a low colonist count is basically a death sentence. I had like 7 people though so i was fine, still annoying to deal with though
In the end expansion gave us 3 pockemons: Shambles are for defence. You can accumulate them to insane overpowered hords, but bringing them to the enemy is a problem. Flash beasts is probably the most useful, the can knock down 2nd and 3rd bosses of mechanitors on 100% ritual quality. Even when they can't, they are delaying, and attacking from behind, so you ghouls can push from the front. They are hostle, but again ghoul squad can handle leftovers. And the sphere is ultimate pockemon, but limited uses. It can totally rip apart even the biggest of raid. The main downside, if enemy will be expired before timer of the sphere, it will turn to kill you colonists. Ghouls are awesome too. Melee was underwhelming before, because you don't want to lose colonists or animals. Ghouls can be even resurected after decapitation with some advanced research. And they can be modified not just with expansion implants, but with powerclaws, and even genomes. Ghoul wookie is good, but you can insert in it fast running and flame resistance too, and all genes about bad coocking and being sad all the time just do nothing but adding metabolism points to them.
I love necromancy, strongest power that isn’t just “Im a god level being” it is in Its own right a terrible power but in the right circumstances and with a bit of luck absolutely goated.
Kleaper is gonna bust when he finds out genes affect ghouls but not affected by drug consumption dependency. Only downside being feeding need increases. But just put awful skill genes and dependencies that don’t affect them. Cloning mod+all the alpha genes and biotech gene mods is great.
I wish more games did necromancy as well as rimworld cause it’s just so freaking fun being able to essentially pull an entire army outta your ass at a moments notice whilst continually making said army larger with every battle.
Make your starting ghoul a sanguophage with the "tough" trait this will make their incoming damage modifier 38% because tough and robust stack then they will also get all the other benefits of a sanguophage that a ghoul can use like superfast healing, fast runner, strong melee damage, strong melee, and lastly all the archite genes the most important being deathless now your starter ghoul can't die unless their brain is destroyed (not that this is much of a problem since one of the Anomaly research items is ghoul resurrection serum) and the best part is that deathresting and bloodfeeding is totally disabled on ghouls now you can scale them for endgame by getting them the ghoul enhancements and finding bionics to install to make your ghoul even more combat focused

They even regrow their organ too so those prisoner that have gifted their organ to us can be still 100% usefull in Ghoul form
