AnUpnorthGamer he still Could have shown the video like imagine if you were a kid you sent your pokemon cards to prime time pokemon for a shout out and he does not show them because some were fake. I know I would be disappointed
Cherubi no! And, I hated my friend from school. He had a "Shadow Pikachu" With 999 Health and said it was legit when I knew it was fake. It was even taped to a Chimchar card. Poor Chimchar.
When I was a kid me and my friends would head down to the cheep Chinese dollar store and buy fake pokemon card packs for 99 cents. We knew they where fake and would just buy them for laughs. I still remember how cheep and messed up they where. I got a fake as can be Blastoise card with the picture upside down. Its had 40 hp and was a grass type. haha good times!
theres a simple way to identify ANY fake card with just ONE trick take a magnifying glass and look very closely at the dark blue border at the back of the card. with a FAKE card you should see tiny cyan and magenta dots because they are printed with standard CMYK ink. with a REAL card you shouldnt see any dots there because its printed with a special blue ink. (only the border, all other parts of the back are still printed in CMYK) this works everytime, if you still cant identify the fake cards you have an extremely, bizarrzly high quality fake or your magnifying glass isnt good enough :p
Arnoxuz that’s a great suggestion! Thanks! All the things in the video are pretty obvious and does nothing to help you recognize fake 1:1 cards with good print quality, especially the old oned that had color inconsistencies even if real
I ripped a base set Squirtle after watching this video just to see what you were talking about. R.I.P random Squirtle card I found to rip, you were just unfortunate enough to be the first card I could find.
I have the same gar chomp card but it came from a legit pack. It has diffrent hp and moove points. I can't tell if it's real or fake. Can u get fake cards based of the original legit card.
Gareth Cleary Like Target or Walmart? Cost about 4-5 dollars then, yes, it's real but if you got it like from a dollar store or something No, it's most likely a fake.
So i have a really weird question. I recently Went through my old pokemon tcg Collection. I noticed that i have 2 identical Blastoise EX. Everything on the two cards looked the same. Except one thing: One of the Blastoises has 180 HP, and the other has 18000 HP. Why is that?
PrimetimePokemon Yeah i kinda figured but the thing is that this must be a really good made fake card? They look EXACTLY identical. I also tried using some of the tips you Went through in your video. Oh well, i guess it's fake. I'm gonna keep it though cuz it looks so funny with the 18000 HP
At school one of my friends said that he got awesome pulls from a pack of pokemon cards that are from China when he showed me the cards I could tell that they were fake because he had like 5 primal groudons from a single pack of cards and when i told him that they were fake, he got mad at me and said that Chinese pokemon cards are different than american ones but the primal groudons weren't even holographic.I once again told him that they were fake and now he isn't talking to me.
Hey Primetime! I just got my hands on a BUNCH of old Pokemon Cards, and I'm a bit confused by them. A lot of them don't look like the pictures that I see on Troll and Toad, but they pass the tear test. Many of them have gold lettering and a gold border, and are from sets like Holon Phantoms. A lot of them also have the set name in the bottom right corner of the picture on the card. I got them from a friend, who has been collecting for a long time and apparently opened up a lot of packs when they were younger. But the gold letters and border don't match up with what I see on the websites where these cards are sold. What do you think?
I'm not PTP, but it sounds like those are reverse-holographic cards. Reverse-holos from Holon Phantoms and the other EX R/S/E/FR/LG sets (iirc) come with a gold border and the set name in the picture (and I believe the ones with gold names are rares). Sounds like the cards there are real! A bit late but I hope this helped!
At 6:22 you say that no Pokémon cards (that you know of) are glossy, but the Japanese vending machine series cards are printed on glossy card stock, unlike the regular matte card stock. I was actually taken aback myself the first time I picked up a card from the Vending S1 series (a Metapod). Great video, though!
My friend traded me a 40000 hp card for 3 legendary s when I saw this video I realised I was stupid as carp and demanded my cards back and he said oh I didn't know that
Hello, I recently got a few first gen cards but I'm not sure if they're fake or not. The back of the cards are slightly darker (not even noticeable unless you compare) than the sixth gen cards that I have. Have the hues been slightly altered throughout the years, or do you think my cards are fake? Thank you so much!
I don't even remember, I was cleaning out my room and found them. It was a big pile of cards. Some of them were obviously fake (300 HP Murkrow) and others took a little bit of research to determine they're fake. After some research, I was pretty confident that the first gen cards in the pile were real until I noticed the slight difference in color.
so......you forgotten one major point......... pokemon company puts a layer of blackish paper or ink to prevent see through and make it harder to tear. so,if you use a magnifying glass or zoom in in a photo,u can see a black line in the middle (at the side of the card ) or you could tear to see but that is only for showing purposes and btw i got a secret rare empolean from a booster box ( plasma freeze ) ist and only booster box so far............
Hey PTP. I have a Darkrai Lv X from the tin, and the border is really misaligned to the left. Is the value of the card lower than what it is because people think it's fake?
Have you ever thought of doing an updated version to fake Pokémon cards cause there are fake GX/EX cards out there I see the listings on Amazon and EBay from time to time
I have a question, I have a Darkrai LV.61, 90 HP and the only shiny part on its the background behind Darkrai. It has no spelling errors but the text isn't bold. Although it says 2009 Nintendo, so. Just wondering if it's a fake or not.
Also making friction on the surface makes it so you can tell if there is a sticker on top helps. Rub your fingers along the surface. Does it feel like its a sticker?
my friend buys pokemon GX's of amazon but after watching this i know his cards are fake. i thought the different font was maybe because they changed it or something so i traded real cards for some of his. im gonna revert the trades because that is just annoying
Thank you for the video, although im going to watch a few more to really convince myself (because it seems like im paranoid at this point). I just bought my first card ever online (amazon to be exact) and I just got my new celebi card today did some of your tests and seem to match up problem is I looked at my own cards (all bought from boosters and tins etc) all seem to say otherwise as this card feels quite thin to me compared to the rest. I was wondering, do newer ex's not have the design? I checked pokebeach and everything looks right even the holo design (which on this card it appears to have one) and all seems good anything others tips for me? in case you wanna know: BW - Boundaries Crossed set Celebi EX
yes, I went to a friend of mine who collects like I do and I had him watch your video and he thought it was real and I agreed so everything looks and feels right (after a bit more looking it was different but not fake feeling) also the seller had 4k + ratings and 98% positive feedback and not one mentioned fake merch so I am confident that it is real
Hey I got a Emolga EX with 180 HP. Also it has an extremely strange holo texture. It also has a picture of a hand in blue (weird). Is it fake? I'm thinking so
you sound different in this video, but you sound way different in your old videos.that shows this channel has grown. thanks for all the vids and keep up the good work!
You are very so correct on many of your points. But if I may. I'm fairly certain that Wizards of the Coast used the foil sticker front for many of their early holo cards. I only know this because I had a bad habit of washing them in my pant pockets.
I have some japanese glossy cards, and I know that there exist some japanese promo card that are original and glossy. I did the "light test" and they failed - but maybe they failed because they are glossy. There is a way of knowing if these cards are fake? Thanks.
Just a question: I got a huge binder of pokemon cards from one of my cousins. It had a dusknoir identical to the one you showed (almost, was holo, if I remember correctly), but was a world championship card. Is it a real card?
at 6:08 if you look at the cards letters there side ways and no pokemon cards are side ways with words and check the spelling to tourds the begining of the video there was a card that had damage spelled wrong wow
I noticed you didn’t mention the method of knowing they’re fake by looking at the seam of the card. Fake ones lack the black “line” that is on the seam for NA Pokémon cards.. I’m not sure if the same is true for Japanese cards
Hey primetimepokemon I have a garchomp level 62 with the c for cinthia and it is mostly gloss on the picture no pattern but I got it from Walmart in a tin so I don't know can you tell me if its fake or not?
I have a problem I traded a card at school for a zekrom ex card it doesn’t bend easy but the top border skinnier and it’s a tad smaller the back is also a lighter blue
i thought my gold star umbreon was fake when i bought it due to it not being foil but after some research turns out the set it comes from (pop 5) doesnt have any foils and its only the japanese version that is foiled
Can you tell fake cards by looking at the energy icons/symbols? Like, I think the little image in the circle looks bigger and less defined on fake cards although I'm not entirely sure if some real cards might have the same thing. Looking at the fake cards in the video, there seems to be a difference in the energy things than with real ones.
in regards to the 500hp Slowking card i have one but it a shiny card and i tried both your tricks and nothing happened to the card, is this a good thing or a bad thing i don' know? Any help would be appreciated.
Hey, I know it's a strange video to ask you this on, but do you know the Gyarados Delta Species that's an electric card instead of a water card? It has a white star as its rarity and the letters that says Gyarados and the HP are both golden. It's not fake, by the way;looks just like any other normal pokemon card. I have seen another card with the same species and pokemon, lighting power, but its letters that says gyarados were NOT golden. Does that mean I have a super rare Gyarados Delta Species? It's from the EX Holon Phantom collection, I think. Thanks for answering if you know this! Been trying to search it everywhere and I haven't found the answer.
Bro i had bought some pokemon cards recently and i got on same reshiram that i already have but the new one was loght colored shining and the old one was dark colored less shining how can i tell which one or both are fake???
I got a black and white boundaries crossed deck and some of the cards are off centered and I'm wondering if they are fake but I bought them at Walmart but I'm confused anyone help answer my question
I have a slowking from diamond and pearl (I think) and it has the characteristics of a real card, (not flimsy, colored normal, etc.) It was also a reverse holo. But one day, itvstarted to split and tin started to come out. Is it fake or not?
hey thanks fo answering my previous doubts but i have one more could you please answer it...it would be really helpful i'm about to buy the neo destiny box as you suggested....can i scan the bar code(with my phone) and know whether the cards are genuine or not?
I remember a local convenience store that sold things like fireworks, etc. and they would have tons of fake Pokemon cards and fake Yugioh cards in little boxes for like $1. My mom bought 1 or 2 for me once and I immediately knew they were fake just because the entire package had legendary cards in them but they were all glossy in finish. Very strange lol
This video is 25% rage 25% rant and 50% destruction
I 100% like this comment.
+PrimetimePokemon Thanks (by the that Scyther's face looks like Seadra's)
👍👍👍
AnUpnorthGamer he still

Good comment!
+PrimetimePokemon I feel bad for u the person who sent u this is evil
Cherubi no! And, I hated my friend from school. He had a "Shadow Pikachu" With 999 Health and said it was legit when I knew it was fake. It was even taped to a Chimchar card. Poor Chimchar.
3:49 That Garchomp card also says "Champoon's Pokemon", rather than "Champion's Pokemon"
on the verge of tears when you tore up Cherubi. ;( Too cute to die like that!!
When I was a kid me and my friends would head down to the cheep Chinese dollar store and buy fake pokemon card packs for 99 cents. We knew they where fake and would just buy them for laughs. sounds like a good child hood :)
Mmmorshu that sounds very nice something fun in your childhood 😀
Mmmorshu lol
Mmmorshu I went somewhere downtown and some dude was selling cards. Got like 10 packs for 5 bucks or something.

+PrimetimePokemon I found my holographic Mew Pokemon card how much do you think it's worth?
Any idea the set it is from?
+PrimetimePokemon no idea I took a picture of it tho
+PrimetimePokemon HAHA I read that comment too lol
He seemed very fed up in this videos. Hey, I don't blame him, I'd act the same way
Ikr I thought something was wrong when I heard his voice
After you tear these cards, you can use Max Revives to heal them
Good one :)
bruh
😂 really
PrimeTime used Rip! 999 dmg.
Fake Pokémon Card Creator Used Max Revive!
It had no effect..
"No pokemon can be 300hp" -PrimetimePokemon 2011... Magikarp and Wailord beg to differ
Lol I have a fake Charizard where Combustion blast is spelled "Combustin Blas"

I ripped a base set Squirtle after watching this video just to see what you were talking about.
R.I.P random Squirtle card I found to rip, you were just unfortunate enough to be the first card I could find.
I understand bro I almost ripped all of my EXS
He said if its easy to rip get a fake card then rip it the fake rips easily than the real card
+Nikolas Veriato even if the card is fake i still keep it. i mean, some of them actually had effort put into them
Working through some frustration on this one. Think you're going to make a fool out of Primetime Pokemon?! You're wrong homie!!
I have the same gar chomp card but it came from a legit pack. It has diffrent hp and moove points. I can't tell if it's real or fake. Can u get fake cards based of the original legit card.
Yes you can, where did you get the card from?
i got it from a regular pack you buy in store

Noah yeah me too it was my first favirote card! When I saw the rayquazza I was like don't do this to me ._. But mines shiny :)

Kyle Brown that chirubi
Was a needed sacrifice also he could have shown the black line that only official cards have so kind of a waste of a card
I watched this video when i was younger and then i went through all my Pokémon cards and ended up ripping a real card rip
So i have a really weird question. I recently Went through my old pokemon tcg Collection. I noticed that i have 2 identical Blastoise EX. Everything on the two cards looked the same. Except one thing: One of the Blastoises has 180 HP, and the other has 18000 HP. Why is that?
Unfortunately the one with 18000 is going to be fake.
This has to be the funniest video ever, just watching you rip them is funny XD
I like what you said, about fake pokemon cards that helps people know it's fake
Me: Doesnt care about fake cards because i only want them to have them
This guy: Gets angry and destroys them
Me too but it’s bothering me I can’t tell whether or not mine are fake but I’m pretty sure
i still remember watching this 11 years ago so much has changed since then
Time flies!

E Rios haha all items in china are fake men..
E Rios Wow is he sensitive.
some cards have the borders thick on one side and thin on the other side. focus on the 2 hints you first said.
I only buy cards in sealed packages, so hopefully I won't have to worry about fakes

That is too bad to hear.
i like how you express your feelings by ripping fake cards :D
You took out your rage on thee cards very calmly
My friend traded me a 40000 hp card for 3 legendary s when I saw this video I realised I was stupid as carp and demanded my cards back and he said oh I didn't know that

i know right i thought my zekrom ex was fake and ripped it WAHHHHH R.I.P
im not lying
so......you forgotten one major point.........
pokemon company puts a layer of blackish paper or ink to prevent see through and make it harder to tear.
so,if you use a magnifying glass or zoom in in a photo,u can see a black line in the middle (at the side of the card )
or you could tear to see but that is only for showing purposes
and btw i got a secret rare empolean from a booster box ( plasma freeze )
ist and only booster box so far............
My friend has a weezing from his friend I tell him its fake but he is like no its real it has 450 Hp and no retreat cost.
lol
Also, at 5:30, it says "if heas" Fake or nah?
Of course.
why did you rip it
Because the cards were fake.
Yea why would someone want fake worthless cards
he ripped it because they are useless poop!
fake cards aren't worth anything.
2:25 if you can't rip that card, you need to join a gym
He was only demonstrating the difference between lightly ripping a real one and a fake one
If you can't tell that was a demonstration you need to join common sense.
Gotta rip 'em all!
Hey PTP. I have a Darkrai Lv X from the tin, and the border is really misaligned to the left. Is the value of the card lower than what it is because people think it's fake?
Omg i love primetkmepokemon ITS THE BEST PERSON
Thanks for being a fan of mine!
He used to talk sooooo fast XD
i love this vid you're holding in so much anger lmfaoo
i hate fake cards too so i understand
I am not a fan of fake cards.

Hello Roman, thanks for watching.

Hopefully it wasn't anything rare.
it wasnt rare its just i dont have alot of pokemon
He/she was trying to see if the card was fake

It sounds like u were crying in that video

He's not crying
Soooo. I just got a card that says meowth but has a picture of eevee on it. Misprint or fake?
Fake
@@PrimetimePokemon well darn. Lol I paid 5 bucks for a pack at my fair grounds. Says pre released sun and moon unbroken bonds.

I think some pop series packs have EX' s with no silver borders on the card
You're right, there are a couple of promo ex cards without silver borders.
I don’t know how I didn’t realize but is the outlining of the Pokémon words on the back of my card supposed to be blue?

Cards from Target are real.
oh so the plastic on top is real too?
Must be.
oh ok

On the Scyther card, not to mention the weakness/resistance/retreat cost areas are in the wrong place, and the retreat cost is insane.

Hey primetimepokemon I have a garchomp level 62 with the c for cinthia and it is mostly gloss on the picture no pattern but I got it from Walmart in a tin so I don't know can you tell me if its fake or not?
If you bought the tin from Walmart all the cards are real.
Do you think can you get a Pokemon package. Theme deck and elite trainer box and for xy break through tin box everything x and y break through stuff.
I am not sure what you mean.
I have a problem I traded a card at school for a zekrom ex card it doesn’t bend easy but the top border skinnier and it’s a tad smaller the back is also a lighter blue
the border doesn’t matter, just poor quality control and compare the color to other cards you have and not ones on a video
i thought my gold star umbreon was fake when i bought it due to it not being foil but after some research turns out the set it comes from (pop 5) doesnt have any foils and its only the japanese version that is foiled
I'm sure some fake cards are different like that too.
in regards to the 500hp Slowking card i have one but it a shiny card and i tried both your tricks and nothing happened to the card, is this a good thing or a bad thing i don' know? Any help would be appreciated.
Any card with 500 HP is fake, especially if it is a normal size card.
The card you have a is a reverse holo form of that regularly holofoil card.
I have darkrai and sceptile that my brother gave me and it just has bubbles and no holographic patterns. Is that fake?
I would have to see a picture to know for sure.
so hey the way to tell fake cards is hp of pokemon high or the card is easy to rip and the back is dull.
ptp do you think the energy that I have is fake cause in the middle of the card on the down part says 2007Pokemon/Nintendo
I would have to see the card to know for sure.
i have an Entei EX that has weird font and a bunch of mispells
Its fake
Hey ptp, probably a little late now but what aperture is your camera?
Bro i had bought some pokemon cards recently and i got on same reshiram that i already have but the new one was loght colored shining and the old one was dark colored less shining how can i tell which one or both are fake???
my friend got a zapdos lvlEX it had 17000 hp but it wasnt glossy on the back is it real or fake?
If it has 17,000 hp it is for sure fake.
I got a black and white boundaries crossed deck and some of the cards are off centered and I'm wondering if they are fake but I bought them at Walmart but I'm confused anyone help answer my question
If you got them from Walmart in the US, you should be fine.
I have a slowking from diamond and pearl (I think) and it has the characteristics of a real card, (not flimsy, colored normal, etc.) It was also a reverse holo. But one day, itvstarted to split and tin started to come out. Is it fake or not?
I would really have to see a picture of it, where did you get the card?
PrimetimePokemon someone gave it 2 me to thank me for helping.
You're welcome.
PrimetimePokemon i mean 4 the person who gave me that card.
PrimetimePokemon also, the slowking was from call of legends and it's a revese holo
hey thanks fo answering my previous doubts but i have one more could you please answer it...it would be really helpful
i'm about to buy the neo destiny box as you suggested....can i scan the bar code(with my phone) and know whether the cards are genuine or not?
I remember a local convenience store that sold things like fireworks, etc. and they would have tons of fake Pokemon cards and fake Yugioh cards in little boxes for like $1. My mom bought 1 or 2 for me once and I immediately knew they were fake just because the entire package had legendary cards in them but they were all glossy in finish. Very strange lol
I was scared when you made that hand gesture to rip that world championship card
