  • Today I check out the Micro Drummer by Mooer. This is a great little drum loop pedal. Easy to use and a good variety of beats.
    I also did a follow up video to this which can be found here or in the cards.

    Hey Ben,
    I hope you are staying safe in this duration.
    I have recently picked up this Mooer Micro Drummer pedal after watching your video review, to jam at home to not to get bored in isolation. ( lack of drums while jamming is excruciating )
    The pedal is attached to the last segment of the signal line and backed up by Moore power distributor. As you mentioned in the video, after leaving it a day on, following day the pedal lights were on but didn't play until I took the plug off and on again. Then it returned to functioning normally just as you said, so I think I can confirm this is a common thing with this pedal, but not harmful I guess.
    Anyway, thanks for your review, helped me a lot on choosing this pedal for my own jam sessions.
    Stay safe and take care mate.
    Cheers.

    Mooer makes some quality stuff at the entry and mid level price points....Nothing fancy they just do what they are supposed to. Haven't ever had any issues with any that I've used (Baby Water, Wood Verb, Sky Verb, Repeater, Echolizer, Reecho and Shimverb).

    #justforjanice Hello Janice!! @Janice Lalla
    @Paul Ewing I use the SR18 as an electric drum brain for my e-kit, for songwriting, or just for jamming along on my guitars, basses, or keyboards. I could not justify a separate unit for guitar only (in a pedal format). I had the Beat Buddy w/foot-switch; I disliked it so much that I sold it within about 4 months of owning it since brand new...Someone got a GREAT deal on that lol!! They *STILL* sell the Alesis drum machines brand new at Sweetwater, last I checked. I got mine used for like $80.00, and bought a BOSS FS-6 to use with it, so I CAN use it as a "guitar pedal" if I wanted to.
    @Ben Coombs nice demo, Ben! Although I am not in the market for one, if I just needed a quick tool for writing, or a substitute for a "boring old metronome", this would be the one to get!! 🐰👍

    Thank you very much for this demo! I just have a couple additional questions, though...if I was going to bring it to an open jam or performance and would only use that pedal, would i set it up into the PA, it's own separate amp, or put my guitar into the pedal and out to the same amp that i am using for my guitar? Thanks again , and Hello to all that said hello!

    • @JaniceLalla
      @JaniceLalla 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      and if it'is into the same amp that you are playing your guitar out of, will the drummer sound with the same settings as the amp? (delay, chorus, etc?)

    • @BenCoombs
      @BenCoombs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I run my guitar into it and then into my guitar amp. The only effect I'm using in the amp is reverb. If you use onboard amp effects I'd recommend adding this in through an effects loop to bypass those effects or run it into it's own clean amp or PA. Hope this helps Janice!!
