I noticed A LOT less what's it called? Screen tear? Visual lag, and other visual things. It's very minor looking. But is one of the things that made it hard to really play it very long

Very much so. I wish they would resolve the stutter (often mistaken for frame rate problems) as they do cause distractions to the eye, but overall it is an improvement over the PS4 version. Better Physics is also a big part for me.
There's still stuttering/frame pacing issues on the PC. I've tried turning on/off gsync, fixed refresh, etc and while it's running at 120+ fps it isn't always smooth and doesn't feel like it's even running at 60 fps at times. Hard to explain but it's a well documented issue in the forums. I've heard the console version (PS4 on PS5) doesn't have this issue.
Correct the PS4 version running on PS5 works as smooth as butter. The issue is not frame rate it is almost like the game is trying to catch up with the action. The background is always smooth it is only the map and interactable items that have the problem (player motion is also smooth) I honestly think the engine is just not capable of rendering the world fast enough unless you have an absolute load of extra RAM etc (we'll in excess of the recommended amount)

This is the only game I have an issue with on my PC (Ryzen 5900x ,32GB ddr4 @3600 MHz, RTX 3080 ). I may just buy the PS4 version for my PS5 since it's on sale and a few people now have said it runs smoothly compared to the new PS5 version.
It definitely runs better you just lose out of the haptic feedback and the physics improvements but that is a small price to pay for a more stable gameplay experience I guess

I'm concerned about the frame rates, will that be 1440p 30fps(locked) or frame rates are uncapped for the quality mode when on next gen console? Next gen does match make with the previous gen, which is nice. As for frame rate. The devs stated that it is 60fps. I do not have it on the series X so I cannot confirm whether that is the case, but on PS5, there is no performance and quality mode option and it does run at 60fps BUT there is a stutter problem which does look like low frame rate. It basically makes the background stutter (the character still moves fluidly, so it is not an FPS problem) The above problem may not be there on Series X though
I don't have this game but it looks interesting. Currently it's 6 bucks for EVERYTHING in the PS4 edition. Meaning season pass and all dlc. On PS5 it has a different sale but it's not available. Its usualy around 20 bucks for the same things. I do not know if the ps5 version has exclusive content to it. So in your opinion, which would be the better bang for your buck?
Definitely thr PS4 version. The main difference with PS5 is trigger effects, haptic feedback and better Physics but content and gameplay are identical. Also at present, using the PS4 version on the PS5 actually runs a little smoother, for some odd reason
Hello , I bought the ps4 Version last night on my PS5 and the game is crashing like 10 times till now. On every cutscene and after every loading screen. Do you have any tips or should i refund it ?
If you bought digitally refunding will not be possible as Sony policy is very bad for refunds. I would say try rebuilding your PS5 database, this quite often resolves problems like this. Other than that, I have not heard of this being a wider problem so maybe try reinstalling, it may be a corrupt file

I screwed up and upgraded to the ps5 version and that was a HUGGEEEEEE mistake. Has weird screen bending stuff constantly, no graphics options. But the PS4 version does...makes no sense. I would recommend to anyone NOT get the ps5 version, its absolutely horrid. Sadly ps4 version on ps5 is better.
i wish the ps4 version ran that well for me lmao. Im using split shot heavy bolter and the physics and frame rate grind to a halt when i'm shooting stuff lmao.
Are you on a pro or a base PS4? It should not slow down that much. Maybe try rebuilding databases on your PS4, that sometimes sorts out slowdown and crashes

I used to run it on a Pro and only had the issue when I hadn't rebuilt database for a long time. Try that. If that doesn't work there may be an issue with the latest update
Its look nothing like the trailer. In trailer there are shadow on objects too not just your character and enemies. Is it bugged or they lied about improved shadow?
Some do, some you need to redo (story missions need to be redone) most of them you just need to do one more action, for example if you need to kill 1000 of a certain enemy you will only need to kill one more to make the trophy pop again

I had an update two days ago. Try to update the game manually, if it dosen't do it automatically. Press the menu button while on the game icon and select "request update". Not sure about the wording, but you will find it.

It’s literally like booting up Tarkov and you go to change the foliage density and get a pop up saying “Foliage Density Increase: $10”. I know. A lot of PC first developers seem to only move to console for a quick buck to fund extra PC development. It's a shame because the console player base between PS and XBOX is over 150 million players so annoying them is a really bad business decision. As you say though, I do love Warhammer 40k: IM but the lack of support is really starting to annoy me. When you see what you can get graphically from Horizon Forbidden West and still hit 60fps, it puzzles me why IM struggles to hit 30fps with no shadows and poor lighting.

IM was made by a much smaller team with MUCH smaller funding for multiple platforms, and a far less experienced team - FW was funded by Sony Entertainment for a single console specifically designed to be optimized to that consoles exact hardware specifications, so you can squeeze a lot more since you only have to worry about the limitations of a single device. That kind of stuff I can forgive because I have a degree in software engineering and I know how the small details like that make a gigantic difference, but the GREED is what I can’t forgive. Theres no reason aside from greed to charge $30 for a graphical upgrade that doesn’t even improve that much. It’s a quick cash grab preying on franchise faithful and I hate it, every time I see it. Especially when other companies have shown it really isn’t that much work to give free upgrades. Darkwood for example charged TWO dollars for their PS5 upgrade, which came with full dual sense support, native 4k resolution, cross Gen trophy integration and profile import, tons of stuff. Metro Exodus came out with a totally FREE ps5 upgrade that added all of the aforementioned with full ray tracing support on top of it which totally overhauled the games visuals and radically changed it, the visuals went from a 9/10 to a 13/10. No charge whatsoever and that required them to totally reinvent the entire engine. Shit like this is greed, period. It’s gross. I loved Inquisitor but I’m not buying this and will probably overlook their next title as a result.
I get that. This did have profile integration and trophy transfer (that is currently a little broken) but the graphical glitches, poor performance and lack of lighting / shadow improvement is just a little annoying
It is archeotech (or better) sentinel armour.. Normal Relic armour has a chance to look like this but hardly ever does. I think I got mine in a void crusade.

There are videos online on how to do this but for the PS4 Pro and slim it is very difficult I think. I had the same problem but luckily was able to sell on ebay to someone who didn't care about disks
Absolutely pathetic ps5 upgrade that btw runs like absolute shit. We've reached a new low lately in terms of developers incompetence, performance issues, and failing to take advantage of the next gem consoles power. Not just this game but many games. The ps5 is much, much more powerful than ps4 yet we're not seeing that reflected in any games. Games are constantly releasing with tons of performance issues, lack of 60 fps option, and minimal graphical improvements. Even Sony is failing to utilize the ps5 by making their games cross gen. Why did we spend $500-$600 again?
It is bad timing unfortunately. The global health crisis meant a lot of teams are working from home and as such do not have access to the vital development kits. PC games obviously do not have this problem. Added to that, the system is new so most devs are still not comfortable with the system so all these things have combined to culminate in these issues. Yes it will be better in a year or so and yes that means we have paid for a system a couple of years early, but there are Ome games I have that were not released on the older machines so I am comfortable with the purchase. I am hopeful some of the issues with Martyr will be sorted.
Not finding excuses for them, just listing things I have heard from some other developers. Don't worry I am listing all of the issues to the devs as well so they know what to work on. The PC devs are active on their Discord, but the Console team seem very absent.....
This game is garbage on consoles. I played it originally on PC and the graphics and performance even at a base level were much better. I have played on Series x and it’s no comparison. My mate playing it on the ps5 has the same issues..low resolution, flickering textures. Play on pc or skip IMO.
I have played on both and yes the graphics are much better on PC but there is still something to be said about the feedback and the trigger effects on the PS5. Also those people who cannot afford a top sped PC can only play on console. My PC is lower mid range (£900 2 years ago) and struggles to run at more than 30fps (the game is horribly optimised)
Depends if you already have all the content. If you only had the base game this is worth the money, especially with the 50% discount for existing players. If you have everything already, and are not fussed with the triggers or haptic support, then yeah, it is definitely a harder choice
I wouldn't say bugs as such but definitely an optimisation problem. I think of bugs as part of the game not working or not working as intended (as in an item giving you 3x more power than it should) these are performance related, the game itself is actually really stable from a mechanics point of view, just not performance

Yeah a lot less. Annoyingly the Xbox version has none at all (standard, I don't have the upgrade on Xbox)
If that happens, you have to activate the vertical blank interrupt.
I really don't know what that means haha. If you mean V-sync, unfortunately this is not an option available on the console version.

It happens automatically. All of your characters are stored on the Neocore servers and not local so it is fully cross save compatible.
how did you get that armor?
It is archeotech (or better) sentinel armour.. Normal Relic armour has a chance to look like this but hardly ever does.

Yes it is. The Martyr saves are saved on their servers and not the console so it was just there when I booted up
I am happy with my PS4 Pro. There is also the Steam version on my gaming laptop with Geforce 2070. No need for a PS5.

My PS4 has a CDROM problem. It beeps from time to time and tries to throw out the disk. Is there a DIY fix for this?
So far I only find Gamestop willing to repair it, but its expensive compared to the worth of the console and a PC disk drive.

There are videos online on how to do this but for the PS4 Pro and slim it is very difficult I think. I had the same problem but luckily was able to sell on ebay to someone who didn't care about disks
Absolutely pathetic ps5 upgrade that btw runs like absolute shit. We've reached a new low lately in terms of developers incompetence, performance issues, and failing to take advantage of the next gem consoles power. Not just this game but many games. The ps5 is much, much more powerful than ps4 yet we're not seeing that reflected in any games. Games are constantly releasing with tons of performance issues, lack of 60 fps option, and minimal graphical improvements. Even Sony is failing to utilize the ps5 by making their games cross gen. Why did we spend $500-$600 again?
It is bad timing unfortunately. The global health crisis meant a lot of teams are working from home and as such do not have access to the vital development kits. PC games obviously do not have this problem.
Added to that, the system is new so most devs are still not comfortable with the system so all these things have combined to culminate in these issues.
Yes it will be better in a year or so and yes that means we have paid for a system a couple of years early, but there are Ome games I have that were not released on the older machines so I am comfortable with the purchase.
I am hopeful some of the issues with Martyr will be sorted.

Not finding excuses for them, just listing things I have heard from some other developers. Don't worry I am listing all of the issues to the devs as well so they know what to work on. The PC devs are active on their Discord, but the Console team seem very absent.....
This game is garbage on consoles. I played it originally on PC and the graphics and performance even at a base level were much better. I have played on Series x and it’s no comparison. My mate playing it on the ps5 has the same issues..low resolution, flickering textures. Play on pc or skip IMO.
I have played on both and yes the graphics are much better on PC but there is still something to be said about the feedback and the trigger effects on the PS5.
Also those people who cannot afford a top sped PC can only play on console. My PC is lower mid range (£900 2 years ago) and struggles to run at more than 30fps (the game is horribly optimised)

Depends if you already have all the content. If you only had the base game this is worth the money, especially with the 50% discount for existing players. If you have everything already, and are not fussed with the triggers or haptic support, then yeah, it is definitely a harder choice

I wouldn't say bugs as such but definitely an optimisation problem. I think of bugs as part of the game not working or not working as intended (as in an item giving you 3x more power than it should) these are performance related, the game itself is actually really stable from a mechanics point of view, just not performance
