Ever thought of getting some kind of containers made which fit the pit exactly? That way you can remove them and dump out the contents a lot faster than scooping out by hand

Right? His wife probably wants new studio built as much as he does. I can only imagine how the smell in the garage can permeate straight into the house during and after the detail.
It's a textured floor so a squeegee is not as effective as you might thing. The broom is a more effective tool IMHO. DG has been doing it that way for years so I'm sure he knows what works and what doesn't.
Mitch you showed us that cleaning a vehicle there is more involved. After the vehicle there is cleaning the floor and I'm sure the equipment not to mention you and your clothes. When you do not have air conditioning how can you wear track pants. Seems like you would wear shorts when detailing in the summer. If it is as hot as it is here in Florida. The heat index is 103 that makes it feel hot... Thumb up...
Im surprised you don't have something like a kids plastic snow shovel it would be great for this and it wouldn't be able to mess up your floor. But hey nice work to each there own yah know.
why don't you just use one of those brooms that can also spray water? I think theres some that can support pressurized water and the bristles will keep the splashing down
How nice, he brought enough of the farm for you to plant potatoes! Seriously, you would think a person would get better gas mileage without that much mud on your vehicle. Still think this truck was a beautiful colour, great job!

Have you ever considered to get an custom made basket / cage with an handle to ease and speed up those cleaning of the drain.

I have seen a bunch of these garage cleanups how many times now..but man, this was the dirtiest it got. Fully satisfied with the end result!! 👍🏼👍🏼

I have often wondered when I see you doing this, could you use your undercarriage sprayer turn downwards as a water broom? Seems like it might work?
It’s probably not as powerful as the pressure washer, but i imagine it would be handy to use in a pinch.
