Hi great videos. Watched them multiple times now as this is the same problem I am having with my a8 d4. I already had the oil cooler done but now I have a severe leak from the front flange. I do have a few questions. Does the crankshadt seal come in 1 piece or 2? Aside from oil cooler what gaskets should I have to hand? The one from elrinf comes with like 20 gaskets and I am unsure if I need all of them.
Impressive. I hope I never have to do this. I've had to do the coolant fittings in the "V" of my Panamera diesel. I'd love to know how you remove the harmonic balancer/crank pulley, and how you lock it
Doing this job right now, would you recommend replacing the crankshaft seal even if it may not have been leaking once this cover is off? Also did you replace the harmonic balancer bolts along with the front seal bolts?
Hey bud, i just did this front cover gasket on a 2016 B4 Q7 and its still leaks from the same spot as before, ever come across this issue before? I can physically see the coolant drops coming from between the cover and the block so its not coming from further up.
It can also be an upper oil pan leak.

Audi's harmonic balancers just unbolt they aren't press fitted

Yes + if the cover bolts are aluminium you must replace them as well

Looks like the rubber seal is pinched
How did you remove the front cover? I removed all the bolts and the harmonic balancer and idler roller and still doesn't come off
