What unit/clan is this?
Honestly, these guys were all just gathered up by me on the day from like, 6 different places. However, we've since formed the most official unofficial unit - the Cadian XXth. Casual milsim, roleplay and all those weird ops that you never get to play in your normal milsim group. Find out more in the discord.

I bloody wish. Video definitely has inspiration from the likes of Soviet and Max0r, but I try to strike a nice line for telling a story, humorous edits and actual gameplay. For something like this, I don't feel the need to edit in every word said. Plus, I edited this in a day, so time constraints were another issue.

Imagine you're a guardsmen, recruited off of some backwater agri-world. You've been told to help a PDF repel some backwater aliens on the eastern fringe- but then suddenly, some of those aliens drive right past your truck, do a two wheeler, and then drive away. If I was one of those guardsmen, I would join the Tau Empire as soon as possible.

Tau actually have quite the potential, if their vehicles and Battlesuits were added properly.
Also, they're pretty much the closest to a modern-minded military faction in 40k, apart from some Imperial Guard Regiments.

I enjoy how all these 40K battles involve minimal armour and space/aircraft, and therefore represent infinitesimally small, unimportant infantry engagements between two factions whose primary focus is on fuckoff-levels of large machinery.

Here's a great idea for a video game that someone is fine to steal and make.
An asymmetric shooter where 15 guys have to assault a huge base and survive waves of enemies, and blow up the enemy base by planting multiple charges throughout it.
The catch is that the enemy army is being controlled by a single person and has to fortify the base, research tech to upgrade and unlock new units, capture resources, etc.

I am currently playing a 40k RPG with some friends, and I have concluded that the Tau are space North Korea.
They have something people mistake for socialism, but also have an obvious genetic class structure and a psuedo divine leader class with unquestionable authority.
The reason that you can’t look at a map with night vision is because only black ink shows up on night vision. The other inks reflect frequencies of light that are in the visible spectrum, and therefore not in the infrared spectrum which is the spectrum of light that night vision equipment picks up. It would basically look like a blank piece of paper, or maybe the grid would show up, but no topography and anything in color would just not show up.
