      Hi Konstantin,
So far I saw no Ads (to the start of the Q+A part).
I'm re-watching because this format was more conversational/subtle.
We grew up with Huxley Brave New World, Orwell 1984, and others. Never realizing what recurring themes these books would represent in our lives. With eternal Thanks to those that put this literature there for us to take in.

It really does sound like 1991 all over again, but worse in many ways. One big difference: in that period - late 80`s to 1991 - even those of us closely following events (and I was one of them), by all the information means then available in the West, never foresaw the complete collapse of the USSR the way it happened, until it actually happened. This time around, the information age being what it is, anybody who`s paying attention can see what`s coming. In 1991 it was one unbelievable, surprising development after another; this time, it’s like watching a train without brakes going towards a destroyed bridge, in slow motion, and picturing it going over the edge long before it gets there.
But also worse this time for all the reasons you mentioned - last time many Russians could still hope that things could get better as Russians learned from the West how to run a functioning economy; now Russia has isolated itself from all truly functioning economies for the foreseeable future (even if the war ended tomorrow and all the sanctions were miraculously lifted overnight, who on earth is going to invest in Russia for decades to come? Investment is first of all about trust - and who trusts Russia, after this?).
Btw, your 9 news of the day has become my first reading every day before breakfast. Hope all your subscribers catch on. Carthago delenda est, et Dominus tecum.
P.S. Sounds like Moscow is still constantly supplied with the modern equivalent of Bread and Circuses, to keep the Roman mob happy and the emperor safe. You of all people know your classical history enough to know my meaning.

@normandduern2413 I was too young to understand FULLY. I was just being born when Gorbachev was JUST finalizing HIS NUCLEAR INITIATIVE. I remember my father would sit down with me every night almost for a decade and would explain things to me as you would explain to an adult about world politics. I would barrage him with questions of things I did not understand and I am so grateful I did because I understood concepts that 99% of the school children around me did not and that extended into my studies in geography class and history classes and current events classes and debate classes. My mother and father reading to me every night AS LITTLE BOY and my father having these discussions with me almost every night, are, as I see it, where my thirst for knowledge and my love of my ancestral Homelands began!

@@ShireLeaf Aha. I take from this that I am rather older than your parents - I was a teenager in high school during the Cuban missile crisis - now that was scary - and can remember the exact moment I first heard that JFK had been assassinated, I was still in high school. That just to say that some experiences do help to give one a sense of when major historical events, really major ones, are actually happening right now and how differently they unroll at different times. Alfred Hitchcock once spelled out what made a suspense film, i.e.: people are sitting around a table, a bomb under the table suddenly explodes, that's surprise. People are sitting around a table, you, the audience, know that a time bomb has been set under the table, but no one knows exactly when it will go off - that`s suspense. 1991 was surprise. September, 2024, is suspense. That's the big difference. BTW, sounds like you had an enviable upbringing. Mine was similar.

I do not know much about Russia, but I have some memories about the Soviet time and the fall of the soviet empire and the rise of the Putin regime. Due to my little knowledge I want to ask a question. What is the difference between Russia in Soviet times and the Putin era? Is it the Mafia like criminal organisation of Putin or were the Soviet times less criminal or depressing then today? I have the impression now with this war that the late Soviet times were less problematic. I guess I am wrong. But back in the 90s Russia had Nobel price laureates but Russia today....nothing, no science, no real products etc..

To get a feel for daily life in the USSR (as much of any of us can who weren't there) , see USHANKA SHOW available on youtube. For insight into the mentality of the whole system, read `The First Circle’ by Solzhenitsyn. For post-communist Russia, read: ‘Nothing is True and Everything is Permitted’ by Pomerantsev, or just watch `The Godfather’ and `The Godfather part II` to get a pretty good idea. Quite different styles; both of course absolutely evil to the core, just two very different styles of evil.

It seems that blaming immigrants to distract from bad things happening inside a country is something that is not not just happening in Russia. I feel it may be happening in Europe and I know it's happening in the US (possibly Canada as well). It's sad and scary. Oh and of course Russians are not popular in Georgia. There is a big difference in the UK. I am a 60 year old Brit. First I have to say that I am not against foreigners, just the sheer number. In just my lifetime the population of the UK has nearly doubled. But, in that same time I have not seen the number of hospitals, schools etc double. In fact there are a lot less. There is a major housing shortage and massive amounts of countryside is disappearing under new housing.
It always amazes me that the politicians seem to forget this is a tiny island and there is a limit to how many people this island can hold.

We are working along side of Gods angels. Boldly spreading the good news to all who will listen. Never giving up. If one does not listen, we will dust ourselves off and try again with someone else. Those with the right heart condition will be found. We are blessed by Jehovah. It is a privilege, it is an honor to do this work. Soon we will no longer preach or teach others.

And this topic brings about the topic of what after? When russia collapses and it cant afford to pay its military anymore (or teachers, doctors, government workers, pensions) and obviously they wont be able to maintain the nuclear weapons. One of the first priorities, as in the end of WW1 and WW2 is the demilitarization of russia, so that it isnt a threat to any neighbors again. the same way Germany and Japan had to turn over all their aircraft, bombers, tanks, ships, submarines, artillery, guns and ammo......the same will have to occur inside russia. It is possible some of their war reparations to ukraine can be paid off by donating much of their military assets to Ukraine, but most of it will probably be sent off for destruction and used for target practice.

You speak English very well! The small errors are only charming. Please don't be concerned. Today your reporting made the case that Russia is in trouble.

Hey K, about 6-8 months ago I got inundated with ads while watching and I notified you in comments, you responded with a unknown reason. I didn’t get any ads during this current airing. I wonder if there is something going on beyond Googles understanding!

Yes, sadly its independent if you get money for your vids and if you are demonetized, because even if you don't get any money, youtube still wants to make money. Else TH-cam would demonetize itself.

If google is making money from the adds they show and is not paying for it is not being fair to you. They use your IP and they should pay you. I hope someone in the US will help you.

Konstantin, see 9/18 note on your Community page re WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR SITE. It’s below the sweet picture of you and your family. Of course, I can’t be certain but the YT site I detail gives a reasonable explanation.

I always look forward to listen to your reports. It is like a breath of fresh air in a smoky, dusty & questionable report system, especially from Russia. One loses total faith in all other reports.

The example given by Konstantin of the Russian matron who beats up the woman from Tajikistan is appalling, but is now typical Russian behaviour that I myself observe here in my quiet little town in the middle of Europe!
Three or four years ago I got new Russian neighbours in a neighbouring house, a man in his mid to late 50s who lives with his wife, their adult son and wife and their adolescent two sons. All the male members are constantly walking around in Russian camouflage clothes, hardly speak our local language or speak it badly, don't return greetings and are constantly arguing with each other at night, probably drunk ... The two grandchildren are constantly playing ‘war’ in the garden and are known as bullies. A very lovely neighbourhood! 🤔
To be fair: there are positive examples here as well. So it’s a mixed game like everywhere else on this planet.
