Lathrix, about space preservation with crates/chests - you can stack them on top of each other, so you can have 32 items in one tile instead of just 8, not sure if dudes will be able to reach 5th crate. Also, in previous versions to do that you'd need to build them against the wall/pillar (haven't tried this update yet).
I subscribed long ago for Stonehearth. Although theother series are good too I'm so glad it's back! Btw if you use that farming method, 12 lines with different food tipes (yes, variety matters) are more than enough for even 20 people. More often spoils.

hey lathrix I had an idea for building the village. basicly the idea is that you dig out a level in the ground build, digg a spot out of that build, and cont. also have a wide stairway on the eadge of the dig so that invaders and defenders have great battles there

And with it comes a sort of morale that you need to manage alongside everything else. one thing that affects it is the conditions under which the hearthling sleeps. are they sleeping on the floor or in a bed? out in the open or sheltered from the elements? are they any heat sources nearby? these along with other things can affect your hearthlings mood.

I think the name Aalto would be a great name. Aalto, in another language means "wave" you could give this to your farmer, or if fishing is implemented, name a fisherman Aalto.

Farmers can grow flowers, wild ones are a bonus not a necessity.
Build house, property values go up, get hearthling and make someone happier. It's not all about coinage.
