- We all know that ash can be a pretty weird trainer sometimes, today we are embracing that weird side and we are going to find out if the pokemon that he left behind in the anime can beat pokemon X. He has left behind many good pokemon like ASH GRENINJA, goodra and many more. So let's show ash that they can do anything.

@@charmanderfan6945 Ash never released Charizard. He left it to train but retains ownership of it. It’s currently living at Oaks lab after he brought it with him on part of his Unova Journey

Actually, I kinda recall that Ash released his charizard .... there was like a breeder I a mountain who breed only charizards ... and due to the fact that she got a female charizard which was stronger than ash’s ..... so they decided to came to agreement that charizard will stay with the other charizards in order to train and get stronger while ash continue his journey ... only to return to ash in a life or death situation to save him and stay with him
And he returned to him for a while so he could fight articuno that a guy had befriended or maybe that was a wack dream lol
@@ewaggatron Nope, actually happened during the Battle Frontier arc against Noland. Ash requested that Articuno be his opponent, and then Charizard flew in. After a relatively epic battle (which would have been amazing after they turned battle animations up several notches), Charizard barely won.
He didnt release it he let it train in the charcific valley
He also releases/let’s go of squirtle to become a fire fighter. Yeah.

I've been playing Inclement Emerald and recieved an Ash-Greninja with Battle Bond ability as a mystery gift in the pokemon centre and absolutely love it lol
Is it just me or I don't know that you can get it? And how?
@@MrRIQOfficialthe guy in the pokemon centre that remembers moves etc has it as an option... but the first few times I tried it there was no mystery/event gifts when I selected the option, but randomly just before Christmas... I tried it again and they said they have a special Ash-Greninja to give me for free

could add aipom to the list if u wanted to cos he technically did give her away to dawn, even if it was a trade for buizel. He didn't necessarily reject aipom but still let her go so she could train for contests with dawn

@@GrimCreeper349 If you accept aipom as a trade then radicate should as well, It was his and choose to give it away, Togipie ash won the battle to get it then it hatched and bonded with misty so ash let misty have it despite having won the battle.

Interesting challenge. Although I'm surprised the ones labeled "In Training" weren't included, since most of those are as good as released at this point
I would have used primeape instead of pikachu, since Ash also released to go train and be a professional pokemon boxer or whatever. But Ash didn't really have primeape for that long. And to the people saying he could have used squirtle , no because even though it's a firefighter with the squirtle squad, it's still under ash's ownership just like charizard when it went to train in the Charizific Valley. Plus squirtle comes back to help Ash fight pyramid king Brandon in the battle frontier, and charizard does as well. The only difference between the 2 is that charizard is at Oak's lab while squirtle is still a firefighter. Maybe Ambipom could have been an option. Even though it was dawn's pokemon when it went off to be a pokemon ping pong champion, Ash still caught it, so technicality.
Can't really count a trade since they both agreed and dawn allow it to keep playing pokemon ping pong

Nice. I have been waiting for a new pokemon challenges from you. Just a suggestion, how about for the next challenge, play any pokemon games (preferably Emerald) with pokemons that Jessie and James used in the anime.
Ash does also give away/release his Squirtle, along with Ratticate, Beedrill, Seaking, and debatably Aipom & Primape
He traded Aipom for Dawn's Buizel. Raticate was traded back to the original trainer for his Butterfree. I wouldnt really count Beedrill or Seaking because they were caught and released/given away in the same episode. Most people probably dont even remember the random filler episodes that they were in. Honestly they might not even remember that Ash traded his Butterfree for the Raticate.
Fact: Ash promised to visit pigeot again some day but he never visit even though he passed by their place a lot of time in pokemon journey 🥺

If I would think of a team you’d probably be able to also get charizard as he kinda left him to train, squirtle started being a firefighter, primeape was traded away, same goes for trading away aipom

I truly loved this, the fact that Butterfree and Pidgeot are supposed to be the weaker members actually got good victories. If Ash was not dumb maybe he could train Pidgeot well enough to be a secret power house instead of just being known to whirlwind Koffing's gases

Ash also once had a Haunter and Primeape in gen 1, surely there are more on the other seasons of the anime.
Ash never caught Haunter, it only agreed to help Ash in the gym battle, but it was never put in a pokeball.

Korrina being fighting type is probably a reference to roller derby which is sort of a rough and tumble fighting type sport on roller skates
my favourite gen 6 pokemon is definitely aegislash it hits so hard and when it gets kings shield its literally unstoppable

Nah Serena is technically the only rival, the others all have different goals than the protag
There's Primape, Larvitar, Haunter, Squirtel, Charizard, Butterfree, Pidegot, Goodra, Lapras, Greninja and Pikachu that comes to mind when it comes to pokemon that Ash has left for a period of time for whatever reason. So there's definitely more than six.

I wonder if it possible to play a hardcore nuzlocke with sky battle pokemon only as the best sky trainer kalos and maybe as a "flying" and flying typ gymleader of kalos. You can use all flying types or pokemon with Levitate, there are a lot of cool pokemon you can use (flygon, Eelektross, jumpluff, gliscor and the list gos on and on)

Ash kinda did Temporarily release Charizard, specifically to train in the Charisific Valley in Johto he came back for the League but the same is said for Goodra. Ash never destroyed their pokeballs so they could always come back.

Just from his Gen 1 team he released 6. If you count Pokemon he released and then came back aswell you have Butterfree, Pidgeot, Pikachu, Charizard, Primape, and Lapras.
Regarding the question of which pokemon he'd still be using to this day.. probably none from past generations except for Pikachu since he only takes Pikachu from region to region
