these guys are the most slept on digimon podcast out there. Im here to support and get everybody in on the digimon i just started back collecting, making my 1st deck as we speak. About to watch the last few pods lol.
I am the muffin man!!! Thank you for answering my questions! You guys are the best. Plus, having four people talk about my questions was beast mode. It was a very deep/ solid breakdown of the crew's thought processes!
53:05 wrong. black has baihumon and galacticmon for burning security. purple got dandevimon for burning security. so thats how you win by clearing the security stack thru effects and then attacking for game.
I definitely hear what you are saying, and I agree those cards help. There are currently 125 Black Megas. 30 of them have Blocker printed on the card, and the rest of them have an Archetypal card that give them blocker or the ability to redirect attacks. Most Black decks want to be able to play defensively while generating value. This is where cards like ST Rapidmon and Bt11 MetalTyrannomon are huge plusses for Black as a whole. Allowing decks to be able to play defensively, while still “Dealing Damage”. There are of course outliers to this thought, but overall that’s what the color has wanted to do. I like your thought pattern tho! I think Black should receive more effects like this to help make it stronger!
Just thought I’d defend my baby because he was mentioned as one of the sub-50% win rate decks: Diaboromon is actually really good right now. Yellow vax is basically an auto-win and nume is doable with a lot of people trading out Valkyrie for Cherubi. Oh cool they have a Magna X. *Swings 10 checks with tokens. Oh no you heavens judgemented away my board. *Plays 4 tokens with on-deletes and OTKs anyway. The only deck I’ve had trouble with is dark master ace megazoo, which is unfortunately pretty popular at my locals. In theory, BT17 will give us the tools to beat it, but for now it’s just a rough matchup.
Dear Basil, updated Bloomlordmon deck thec when? Imo Bugs have too many bad matchups right now. Besides we still have to wait quite a time for Shivamon Ace.
Having a fresh meta is better for everyone. The people that like the tier 2 decks get a bit of time before the tier 0 decks get fleshed out and start gatekeeping half of the format. Bandai has always been incredibly slow to ban/restrict cards anyway (unless they're purple). Even if we end up in a toxic format, having JP and EN players give feedback that the format is terrible will maybe force Bandai's hand faster. EN has had a ton of fresh formats, and those formats seem to feel better than the formats where everyone just follows the JP framework and tunes decks. (tldr getting caught up to JP should be better for everyone, so ppl shouldn't worry too much)
lol i just assembled the obvious version of that deck since it's purple ninja birds, it is terrible but fun for kitchen table play i actually think xantibody support could make it devastating if each xantibody inheritable also made your opponent ditch cards

@@BDunback we got u bro!
I feel for that Greymon player. I've been playing with more BT8 MetalGreymon and Gaiomon lately just to have de-digivolve to prevent Ace plays.

Hell yeah! It kicked my butt 😂
Curious to see that Tyrant list Basil! I'll throw it in the discord as well, I absolutely love the deck but it still feels like it needs something
@@vonwafer12 I posted the tyrant list in our discord and would love to talk about it c:

Can’t wait for BT17!
Etemon -> Valk was already used in JP. It just hadn't caught on as big. Until right before we got BT16
