Shyamalan “The world pounds you down” (19:00 min).
    To make you humble.
The people who have never faced challenges are stuck up and assholes. Or deliberately decide to forget that they too have struggled and decide now they will step on you and look down at you. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel worthless and powerless. It’s always people with Tenacity and perseverance that end up like Shyamalan, extremely successful.

Agree I think he set the bar so high with the Sixth Sense like that movie literally shifted the culture back in the nineties it was so explosive and pretty much influenced every movie after that one that when he did subsequent movies they all kinda flat except for Signs which I liked but I heard that got mixed reviews for me he is hit or miss but when he hits he like really hits

Shyamalan is clearly a genius filmmaker... I personally feel that he gets the flak because many r jealous of him and also because he's Indian by origin... I would like to see another filmmaker hv the kind of portfolio he does, barring maybe Spielberg, Tarantino, Scorcese and Nolan...

Wow I never knew he was so passionate about the education system and the achievement gap. It’s literally kept me up nights because I stress about how a failing education system in America robs so many talented and gifted children of a full and productive future. It’s a cliche but the children of today are really the leaders of tomorrow.
We can all do better if we try.
