Hey bud, just wanted to say thanks for making these videos! It seems like you're the only one who will even touch the Staff/ GS, which is such a shame. As a newer player, it can be really frustrating when the game promotes "freedom of choice," and then you go online and everyone says "if you don't play 1 of 5 ways you're a troll." At that point why not just have it be class based. Also I was curious about your thoughts on pvp/ pve of GS/ Wand?

I hate how this game only has 2 character slots. As an altoholic, thats tough lol. I had to download the game on my ps5 just for 2 more character slots. Deff using one of those slots for this build. Thanks so much!
It seems like GS/Staff is a nicely hidden secret lol. I played, mostly, as Daggers/GS, briefly as Daggers/XBow, some as Staff/Daggers, but GS/Staff...it just feels so much better!! However, I used more magic skills than you, but it's still fun! I love GS passives and being able to swap in some of the skills. I've been curious how I want to build him though, and was trying to look at yours on questlog, yet, It's frustrating that the item names on questlog are different than the ones in-game. Separate localizations I imagine. I've experienced this before. Anyhow, thanks for your content!

love these videos man. I’m building a GS & Staff build because the GANDALF BUILD SHALL LIVE ON. I leveled up my death blow. Can i still have my PVE and PVP spell rotation be correct?
Do you build evasion or endurance for a GS build with no dagger? Evasion is pretty much useless when we are still in process of building it but endurance also cant go very high.
I have used this weapon combo in some large scale and yes you can make it work. But i mean if you are caught by any cc you might as well accept death. Large Scale doesn't really allow for mistakes to happen. You don't really die to AOE attacks more just be careful about roots
Just pick green gear that has critical hit/dex/strength/hit. Everything else kinda doesn't matter as you will replace the green gear for blue gear pretty quick.
I am a Japanese player enjoying this build. In the global version, which equipment should I aim for in the first upgrade from blue gear to purple gear?
Please tell me rotation bar for target and AOE i miss some mana and also i got deadly and resistance GS what i need to keep please and i got staff poison and your blue 🤦🏻♂️ @zardos

I find this build rather more interesting that whatever dagger+gs (as a mainstream). And yet still, do you reckon this build does or could outperform gs+dagger. Thanks.
Well the gs+dagger is overall the better option out of the two due to cloak and daggers passives. The GS and Staff can be used in a lot situation that the dagger can not compete with. One thing to note that gs+dagger is quite predictable and easy to counter. GS+Staff isn't seen as often so players don't except this combo.

Main weapon is Staff as you will be using it more often then the GS in all content. Greatsword is a great off hand weapon for the weapon combo. I have some videos on build guides such as skills and passives.
Is this as effective in PvE as you make it look in PvP? Like, do you struggle with survivability in PvE? I am kinda new to the Game but dont want to go the Meta Route. xD

Yes the build is quite fun for sure. I have had great success with it in PVP but that depends on the player. Daggers have been getting nerfs slowly so thats a good thing. Well if you want to feel like Dante then go GS/Xbow

Despite some server issues... ^^'' Since there are quite limited content on youtube etc. and reddit/other forums are flooded by people trashing any weapon concept not used by 5-10+ people in the top 100 killboard, you have become my favourite player to watch. Since you inspired me im just now starting playing my first alt character, and I want to pursue Wand/Gs. Do you have any thoughts on this, could it be made viable in PvP/PvE (like Staff/Gs)? If it's truly trash tier and will make any type of PvP and group PvE completely undesired I'll just roll wand/dagger and curse bomb for fun. Would like that discord link If that's fine, Im on EU tho so can't play with you, but might be easier if one would discuss TaL or share stuff ^^ Cheers
My Discord name ZardosR Yeah since the game is PVP most players will just use the meta as they want it easy. GS/Wand is interesting I have seen it here and there. I will say it is kinda just a worse version of SNS/Wand. You will out put more dps but at the sacrifice of defense. GS/Wand is very good in 3v3 content!

Yeah I would recommend endurance for this build as the greatsword and staff just don't have many options to increase evasion. Evasion is only really used for daggers and crossbows
I hear you, is it good in 1v2 situations? i imagine so with the cc the build has, huge fan btw and of all the videos in pvp this build is the juiciest ever, dagger for stealth is cool but the gs swap for cc is too damn spicy i love it

Yeah gs&s works in all forms of pvp content. I haven't encountered a situation where I felt completely powerless or unable to make a difference. In Open beta I was the #1 for most kills on two servers. So i think it could perform just as good in global release

Yes it should perform perfectly fine in pvp contain. I have done all the PVE contain in KR and haven't had any issues completing T2-T3 dungeons. I do have a build out on my channel

In a 1v2 situation dagger has 100% evade buff + stealth. Can GS be good for surviving 1v2 as well?

Honestly GS+Daggers are the least of my worries on this build. More worried about SNS and Wand as they are harder to deal with

I have used it in Mass PVP. It works quite well. Just have to get used to the play style. Top 5 ranked on my server
