I seen the 6 wheel log skidder at Agfest in Tasmania, in my opinion they are the best piece of logging machine I have ever seen, ideal for our hardwood trees which are heavy, and the steel plate is thick, cant see it falling to pieces, and the cab is so nicely made and have ideal views.
another great video. I was by the plant in Woodstock ontario a hand full of times when I was getting my new to me truck. wanted to stop in so bad to see what they were building.
@7:24 and on, Lance is really getting thrown around in the cab of that Tigercat 724G. Amazing they haven't worked up some sort of improved cab suspension or at least seat and control arm suspended together, as seen on agricultural tractors for quite some time.
Great stuff Tim I'll take one of each please that first machine you came up on was a monster krist the guy standing next to it could almost stand up under the machine looked like a cutter there stuff looks ruggedddd talk to ya soon Napa Mike
Another great video Tim. This has been another really interesting series. I've never been in any of these machines but that 724's controls looked to be a little awkward. Just the way the operator was holding the joy sticks so low so he could make some contact with the arm rests. I reckon that would cause a lot of arm fatigue after a full day in the saddle. Like I said, I've never even seen inside the cab of one of those, but it just looked uncomfortable to me.
?? How does the 6x6 skidder work on really step hills and mountains i have a 650 lgp dozer that i use to pull my logs out with and some places i pull as much as a mile with it.
+John S they have those in these machines, notice the straps in the buncher. Very few operators wear the shoulder straps because you have to lean forward so much.
Thanks for the info Tim. I enjoy watching your videos. Moved away from MS 25 yrs ago but still have family over in Starkville. Don't get back as often as I'd like.
+clint montgomery because it has excavator hydraulics. There's no comparison between the 2. So much more power and the multifunction and blending of controls is unreal. It would be like trying to compare a 1960 model car to a 2016 corvette or Lamborghini.

Good stuff, enjoyed the ride along on the feller/buncher, Tigercat machines just look so tough !!

@cotontop3, the forward and rear facin seat in that skidder is just awesome. Bet that would save a lot of neck and back aches.
I heard that i know i have watch ur videos and watch how u all use it.it looks like a mean beast at work

well mainly its just them stumps hes running over making do that because we have a buncher just like that and it does real good
Some real money here. Great Tim.
Now that stuff looks sweet

+Mike Wawrzkiewicz that was a 830 leveler like ours.

+AussieMusicRocks I wouldn't be able to run it holding the stick low either.
AussieMusicRocks
Thank for the great vids Cotontop3
+Riley Redden thank you for watching!
One more ? For u how much does it cost to do a 2000 hour oil service on it all the filters and all oils on it is high like my dozer
Great ride-along in the feller/buncher, does it make any difference which side the boom is on the loader to the operator?
+MukyMik some guys it bothers but a good operator will be fine on either side.
Thinks for video nice machines
+Ricky models thank you for watching!

+Anthony Bevins that's what it's best used for is extreme steep and very wet ground.
cotontop3 thank u cotontop
very nice
I waited so patiently to check out the new 830, and nothin! Damn lol
+sean john lol, sorry about that. I covered about all I could and the 830 was covered with people each time I was by it.
All good
That's just cool man
+Mr Nate thank u, glad u enjoyed it!
With as much jostling as the operators get, I'm surprised they haven't put a racing style harness in the machines.

I love those 830's I'd like to try one of them out.
+Bobby Horn they're good machines
Do u think u would ever buy a Tigercat track loader over the Deere u have?
+clint montgomery absolutely not. Our swing machines will only be Deere because hitachi builds them.
+cotontop3
Could you elaborate on this Tim?
Not being rude, just wanting some info why is the Deere (Hitachi) better. Why is it a better machine?
+clint montgomery because it has excavator hydraulics. There's no comparison between the 2. So much more power and the multifunction and blending of controls is unreal. It would be like trying to compare a 1960 model car to a 2016 corvette or Lamborghini.
+cotontop3 wow I had no clue the Deere (Hitachi) was better...thx....
+cotontop3 I should have read down some more. Now I know why.
Now I know what happened to Jimmy Hoffa....
