I shake my head at these Spider Verse books, but my 5 year old is intrigued by all of the different Spider-Man, so I just roll with it and appreciate that he enjoys comics. I’m really interested in that Antman Epic, but I’m going to try and be patient for an Omni. It will happen one day!
While I'm not about to pick up every Epic, have Deadpool covered in hardcover and not bothered about Star Wars for example, I am starting to pick up more Marvel thick trades now that there aren't any regular Marvel partworks I'm picking up. Just got a shipping notice on both Ant-Man Epics, Surfer hasn't been high on my priority list but might grab this one. Daredevil 1 reprint this month is a must.
I loved the impossible man when I was kid. He changed into cool things and was funny. Haven't read any of those issues as an adult though. Going to have to revisit those FF issues someday.
Omar is correct the first Ant-Man Epic was priced at $34.99. I just got the second volume today (priced at $44.99) and noticed in the table of contents "Marvel Feature" is misspelled as "Marvel Feaure" throughout. Where's the quality control at Marvel?
Maybe I should start collecting those Surfer Epics like I planned to a while back, lol. I want to at least get anything that I'm missing from your Thanos reading order.

Just ordered Edge of Spider Verse yesterday. I'm really excited to read the Spider-Man 2022 series for Slott and especially Bagley's art. Would you say its necessary or worth buying this Silver surfer epic just for those Thanos issues? I currently have the Thanos Quest epic and infinity Gauntlet but read neither yet. Budgeting is making me be more selective on what I pick up which is why I'm on the fence.🤔
Depends on if your interest is in Silver Surfer or the Infinity Saga. It’s worth it if you like SS, but if you’re just looking to read the Infinity stories you’re better off to stick to the main trades
This is my first peek at modern Silver Surfer, so what happened to his shorts? He's looking cheeky here! When did Stan lighten up and allow other creators to carry on the mythos? He was a rarely seen character in the '70s and early '80s.
I'm probably in the minority but I'm enjoying Slotts run on FF. Have there been better? Of course! But I think Slott has good handle on the characters.
Can they just come up with new names! It's just ridiculous and its why I stopped reading years ago. I couldn't figure out what to read to get the story. This is why I prefer contained stories I just want to read a story for crying out loud. Even after your explanation I still had no clue where that book fits in. Sorry for the rant but this is just an annoyance.
It's a valid point, but in this case I think there might not be anything you need to read Edge of Spider-Verse, if that's the book you're talking about, since it's just introducing new spider-beings and reintroducing old ones as well. I haven't read it so I can't say for certain.
