Certainly! Here are the steps for creating stained glass jewelry using lead-free solder and dichroic glass:
Step 1: Gathering Materials
Collect all the necessary materials, including dichroic glass pieces, lead-free solder, flux, soldering iron, glass cutter, grinder, safety goggles, and a soldering stand.
Step 2: Designing Your Jewelry
Plan your jewelry design on paper or create a template to follow. Decide on the shape and arrangement of the dichroic glass pieces in your jewelry.
Step 3: Cutting Dichroic Glass
Using a glass cutte. Take your time and ensure precise cuts.
Step 4: Grinding and Shaping
This step ensures that the edges are safe and smooth to handle.
Step 5: Applying Flux
Apply a small amount of flux to the edges of the glass pieces. Flux helps the solder adhere to the glass.
Step 6: Soldering
Place the glass pieces together on a soldering stand in the desired design. Use the soldering iron to melt lead-free solder along the edges, fusing the glass pieces together. Be patient and make sure the solder flows evenly.
Step 7: Cleaning
Once the solder has cooled and solidified, clean your stained glass jewelry using a soft cloth and glass cleaner to remove any residue or flux.
Step 8: Adding Jewelry Findings
Attach jewelry findings, such as jump rings or earring hooks, to your stained glass creations, making them ready to be worn.
Step 9: Final Touches
Inspect your jewelry for any rough edges or imperfections, and do any necessary touch-ups with the soldering iron or grinder.
Step 10: Display and Enjoy
Display your beautifully crafted stained glass jewelry, and proudly wear or share it with others to enjoy your artistic creation!
Remember, stained glass jewelry making requires patience and practice, so don't be discouraged if your first attempts are not perfect. With time and experience, you'll refine your skills and create even more intricate and stunning pieces. Happy crafting!

Love your work. I make srained glass panels and im trying to switch over to lead free. I'm using tourmaline solder and im anle to.fet a pretty nice bead but Im having issues with my iron tip turning nkack and not holding solder. Wont even hold a tin. I think its oxidizing. Have you had this problem? Any suggestions?
amzn.to/3G1D0Lj this is the lead free solder I use
amzn.to/47pX4Tt this is the soldering iron I use. These two items I have not had issues with once I realized this iron was in Celsius, instead of Fahrenheit which helped my issue. Lead free solder melts at a higher temperature than lead solder
Also amzn.to/46qiVJL tip tinner is helpful as well. Thanks so much for your kindness ❤️
I have a more in depth video in my earlier videos as well
