On my way to the Hospital to give birth to my baby I asked my Husband to play this song. During the birth I was so nervous and I started singing this song throughout the caesarean and I felt God’s presence. My Son is turning 5 months this months and this is his bedtime story. Whenever his crying or restless I sing this song to him and he calms down 🥹God is Good

Easy said and done when things are easy but when your at your lowest ebb , and stuck in circumstances that you don't have control or say in then you really know if you love Christ or just Christ when your blessed (which would be like a false convert ) . My young daughter of 17 years is home with the Lord now. We saw this music video in the beginning of the year and we wept. It's hard because we all miss her. But I know that one day we will all be together again with our Lord Jesus. He took her to be home with him first. Thank you Lord for coming and saving us!

I only recently realized the incredible symbolism in this video. The man, in the space suit, is not from this world. He is a believer in Christ, a citizen of another world (aka heaven), hence the space suit. He goes around giving out the astronaut patches to people (sharing the gospel). His wife that dies, also has a patch, indicating that she received Christ as well. After she dies, the widower goes around encouraging others and in the end is welcomed into heaven by those that had received Christ through one of those patches, those gospel messages. It is a beautiful song and video.

MercyMe is probably my favorite Christian band. The lyrics they write just seem to reach out & touch your soul. Tonight's the 1st time hearing this, and just like most the others, they seem to know exactly what I'm going thru. Its after midnight where I live in the US, so its officially Wed, May 26th. 29yrs ago at this very time, I was holding my newborn babyboy. He was my 2nd child, but he was the only biological child for my husband & I. We were right in the middle of my oldest being adopted by my husband. He was a beautiful baby, strawberry blonde hair and bright blue eyes, that sparkled more the older he got. My boys were "Irish twins" which means born in same 12 month period. My oldest was born in June 91, and this baby made his appearance May 92. 11 months & 13 days to be exact. Whew that was rough on this ol gal, who was alot younger then, but still- 2 babies under 2 is not always easy to manage! But we made the best of it, and thankfully when hubby got off work, he'd give me a lil break, then still helped after my break was over. We were not rich by any means, but we were making it work and had a pretty good life for many yrs.
Unfortunately, life can flip upside down on us, and eventually my USAF Vietnam Vet husband's drinking became more than just a few beers. And it ended up being huge issue in our marriage & family life. He always went to work, he drank at home not out at bars every night, he was not mean, never abuseful, never laid a hand on me. He just became VERY STUPID. He didn't even drink every night, but the nights he did, he couldn't just have a 6-pack and be good. No, he had to drink the whole case. He was a good man sober, but I simply could not take the nights of stupidity anymore. So in 07 we were divorced. Boys were 14 & 15 I believe....but it mostly affected our youngest. He was very upset and even cried tears over us splitting up. It tore me up bc my husband didn't want the divorce, it was all me. Things went along, we co-parented excellent bc we didn't have nasty divorce, we actually still cared for each other, but there was still the issue with the bottle. Slowly but surely, God worked on his heart, and all on his own, he slowed down, didn't drink when boys were with him, and eventually he just walked completely away from it and hasnt had a drink since. Can't tell you how proud we were (and still are!) of him! So, as God would have it, we fell back in love, more than ever & got remarried 3yrs later. To say how thrilled our boys were--- especially our youngest, you'd have thought he hit the lottery! We were one extremely blessed & happy family! We had a couple good years, by then boys graduated hs. Oldest had his plans figured out, youngest still undecided. Military or college... well that decision ended up being made for him bc due to very bad high school football injury which required surgery, with a steel rod being put in left leg, he was turned down by military. He was bummed for awhile but knew he'd figure out plan b. He had a good job, still lived at home while he considered what to do with rest of his life when plan b came along in the form of a girlfriend. Not one who had much dating experiences, he fell hard, and apparently she did too. Then, it happened. Several months later,, Next thing I know is-- Mom! You're going to be a Grandma!! They were on cloud 9, and I admit, my heart was too, but my head knew they were no way prepared for this. But our son was proudful, stepped right up to the plate, like a man in his position should do. He got a better job, with great benefits. Found them a cute 3bedroom house to rent... we helped them furnishing it with some new but most 2nd hand things or hand-me-downs. They handled decorating nursery themselves. They had it all figured out- he'd work, 2nd shift is where all new hires begin, she'd stay home with baby, finish college, then they'd get married. Our precious lil grandson was born, she allowed me to be in the room with her mom & my son. It was BEST day of my life, except the days they were born. Completely back on cloud 9- they were totally head over heals in love with this baby! It was so adorable watching "my baby" hold his own newborn. Felt my heart was complete. Until it wasn't. For all of 8 months- life was fabulous.
8 months. Such a short time. But, without letting anyone know, schoolwork & a newborn was not enough to keep Mommy happy while Daddyvwas working all the OT offered to him. She got lonely. Theres a hundred ways to fill your time and she chose the worst - the comfort of another man. She's never admitted how long the affair went on, but one night when he got home from work at 2am and she & the baby were not home, he knew. In his heart he knew the truth. He came to our house, he was upset, but said nothing other than they were having a lil tiff. He was always able to talk to me about things, why that day he didnt- will haunt me forever. We ran a few errands, he said he felt better & was gonna go meet some buddies to play basketball. We weren't that concerned, all couples have tiffs, I told him to give her a lil time and all would be well. I had no way of knowing what he knew. I had no way of knowing that would be the last time I saw him. He vanished into thin air. Gone, missing. Car was at home, locked up, his house locked up and he was no where to be found. Didn't answer my calls or texts. This was all on a Sunday. Monday we arrived at his workplace bc we knew, like his dad, he never missed work. When he didnt show up, and we talked to HR and he also didn't call in sick, we suddenly had pits in our stomach & lumps in our throats. We knew this was NOT LIKE HIM. #1 he would never take off for any reason & not tell me. Never. So those feelings of fear lasted 112 days, roughly 4 1/2 months, until his "remains" were found in some woods where a hunter stumbled across his body. We were in total disbelief, NOOOO!!!! NOT OUR BABY!!!!! But it was. It was our baby. With remains (I hate that word now) unviewable. Ironically, he died on a Sunday and was found on a Sunday. The saddest part was he was found the day of his son's 1st bday. I just couldn't understand why God allowed all this to happen, for this sweet 8month old baby to lose his daddy, at only 21yrs old. Still a baby in my eyes.
God has carried me thru the deepest valley of grief I've ever known. And today, even thobits been 8yrs, my heart physically aches for him and for how cheated we all are. Especially now this 8yr old lil boy, a twin to his daddy, looks exactly like him. He's such a joy to be around and we feel so blessed to have the best part of our son to live on!
My goodness! Forgive me for such a longggg post. I doubt many will read it, if anyone at all. But guess I needed to get it out, and this song, this day, just makes it seem like yesterday in one way, andvin other ways, like its been 100yrs. I miss him so terribly. So does his Dad. At least he did get to witness his parents fall back in love. But he took such a big piece of our hearts with him, we'll never be the same. But by the grace of God-- we still can laugh, have fun, look back on memories and pictures without breaking down in tears. Never thought we'd do that again. But our grandson needs us, and we are here for him. We tell him funny stories, show him tons of pics, so he'll know how very much his daddy loved him, and what a wonderful guy he was. As long as there's a breath in me, he'll never be forgotten.

WOW...MercyMe you NAILED IT!! After dropping my 2 girls off at school today and on my way home, I had to pull over and listen to the words of this amazing song intently, while weeping. I get it...especially after overcoming stage 4 cancer and now in my 4th year remission...PRAISE JESUS! With a lovely young wife and two beautiful little girls, although a very difficult spiritually and struggling time, it has given me a new focus on what is important and what matters most each day...the Love of FAMILY. And knowing we will have a home in Heaven to all celebrate together with JESUS.

I heard this on the radio on my way home from hiking, one of the few things that helps me get my mind off this pain. My 9 year old son randomly passed away in his sleep last February. We just had our first Christmas without him. Life is torture now but I keep running this race. Can't wait to go home when it's my time.

Hey, I'm at a Burger King right now in tears because of the life that I live and I honestly believe that with everything that is happening so fast and I'm overwhelmed with Jesus is coming. But even when we are so transfixed on heaven, we forget that God needs us to not focus on the heaven for we are STILL on earth! People still can be saved , Christ is still calling out the lost and it's up to us who has seen him, know him, and love him, and to be stronger in his body! Let's not forget that though we may feel it's limited, there is still time to do the Will of Christ Jesus who had the the heart to save us as he want people to know that he did the same as well. Last year my father passed away from stage 4 lung cancer and pulmonary fibrosis. He had a set list of his favorite songs, mercyme was 90% of his set list. Every time I hear this song I break down with tears of joy knowing he is home with Jesus. Great song MercyMe!

Sitting at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to bring him to heaven he recalls meeting the perfect girl, marrying her, then losing her too soon. Suddenly, he's reminded by someone with childlike faith he's still here and that he has work to do before he joins who he lost. In that work he meets three key people, the first one who lights up his view in humanity and there is much left to do. The second is the very humanity who needs someone to believe in him. Finally, love - his first love did not want him to be alone in his journey and he meets someone who has also lost. He knows loss and the pain it brings. In the end, the child reminds him that heaven is for those who are childlike in innocence. The now strengthened downtrodden carry him. Lastly, the new love helps him out of the protective shell he found himself in in the loss of his first love. We are almost home, but we have so much to do because we have many friends who won't be there with us if we don't keep working.

I love this song but it sometimes makes me cry! I lost my mom when I was 16. Then last year my twin sister died. I just turned 51 and it's strange that she's gone. Then two weeks before Christmas I lost my cat Stormy of 14 years. But through it all I have Jesus with me. I know ill see my mom again! She was a very devoted Christian !

This song got me through a hard time last year. I thought I was going to lose my baby brother, I'm 33 and he's 31. We are very close. He was having a lot of health problems not the virus. I was in constant depression. The weekend before his heart surgery, this song came on and I played it over and over and cried every time. Not only did my brother survive, we both are saved. This song also helps me get through a miscarriage I had because I know when I get home, I will be able to finally see my child I lost. What a wonderful song

Me and my husband of 30 years saw you in concert October 27, 2022 in Roanoke VA. This song was the only 2 video he took that night. We truly got such a blessing that night. Sadly he passed on November at the age of 57 very unexpectedly and fast. Im so glad for this song because I know I'll see him again one day soon. Bless you all. I first heard this at the MercyMe concert at my hometown. I cried during this song I have had a very hard time with school every since September 13th 2018 which was during my senior year. I left that school that day. I rather not say what happened at school. All I will say is that it was the worst day of my life and I know I will never forget it. But I had to get my GED and I just finished last month I will be going to college in January. I went to the concert with my mom and my best friend in the world who went through the same stuff I did with the same school. I have been so happy for the past 3 months. If anyone is going through tough times just know that God is always with you.

Me, my mom, my friend, and her mom are the best of friends, we go to each other's family get togethers. She is 11 years old, it was a small school and that and none of the kids closer to my age, so I hung out with my little cousin and his friends and she was one of his friends. She is the only one that has come around. I have helped her through it as much as I can and I don't plan on stop helping her through it. I said to my sister that it's so sad that a 11 year old can act better and nicer than all of those kids. Last night we talked about the Bible for the first time. She has been sending me Bible verses and Christian inspiring quotes that she came up with all by herself. Her and her mom made me so happy and help get over that bad day at school and it led me to rededicate my life to Jesus Christ!

He went to heaven because of that Agent Orange our Government so stupidly sprayed over there. He wouldn't give his heart to Jesus for years because he thought that he was going to hell for killing the enemy in Vietnam. I just kept praying for his salvation and then one day, he decided to get dressed and go to church with me. He went forward to the Alter and gave his heart to Jesus. Brother I know just how you feel. I'm only 42 but I've lost everything and nearly everyone I ever held dear. I had quite a lot going on in the last time, i was sick a few times and once i was at the edge of passing away. My condition was very bad - i had 40°C body temperature, i lost a lot of water in my body, couldn't process food and lost nearly all of my strength. As an example: i couldn't even walk alone properly without having pain in my whole body. Immediate before this time i was about to commit a sin i for sure would've been regretting my entire life after that. I'm thankful for him sending this illness upon me, because without that, it would've meant my spiritual death. In this times of laying in bed with heavy pain, i found that God is my shield, my defender and my remedy. Every time when pain came suddenly and when i was at the edge of madness, i reminded myself of the things, that Jesus was to me. And in those moment you realize how near God can be. I always knew and truly believed that God was near, but in those moments i experienced his closeness. And it was just beautiful. That's what also strengthened my hope to be home soon, because i know it will feel even greater. I had many temptations later at which i lost the will and joy to live and my mind was only thinking about suicide, but i thank God for pulling me out of it. The most important thing, i found, is to always keep God first and not to worry about what may happen if you do what he wants. Always stay in touch with God and he can protect you. Determine times in the morning and evening, if possible in the afternoon too - pray then (on your knees) and pray in between. And ALWAYS stay in repentance. I think that's the thing that will bind the devil - act as you are supposed to, which means live like you are dead to the world. A dead man can't be tempted, he won't rise from his grave to commit sin. And to do so, we need the joy of the Lord and the strength of the Holy Spirit.
