I love how down to earth she is. In the interview, I liked that they talked about my favorite film "Carrie". Her autobiography is a great read as well as a great listen on audiobook, read by Spacek herself. I love Sissy Spacek. She will always be my favorite actress,
I read the book and it is a great read for any Sissy Spacek fan. I think she is truly a wonderful woman and I've always admired how down-to-earth she actually is... in the way she lives her life... and even in the roles she plays. The book made me love her even more.
Sissy Spacek is truly one of the best half dozen or so American actresses of the past 40 years. She has a near record (2nd best) for honors from the New York Film Critics Awards winning a total of Four New York Film Critics Awards for acting: three for Best Actress and one for Best Supporting Actress; in 1977 New York Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress for "Three Women" and "Welcome to L.A." ; in 1980 New York Film Critics Award for Best Actress for "Coal Miner's Daughter"; 1986 New York Film Critics Award for Best Actress for the hilarious "Crimes of the Heart" , and in 2001 The New York Film Critics Award for Best Actress for her sublime, understated and incredible performance in "In The Bedroom".
I can't watch Carrie, not because it's scary, but because of the humanity Spacek brought to the character and how relentlessly cruel the world is to her, it reminds me too much of some real life incidents over recent years where teenagers have been driven to suicide.
She has a way of being impressive and worth every listen. Carrie was kinda black market spooky but it was beautiful at the same time. I had instant aversion to Sissy after seeing the film at only 7 or 8 years old. I am now reawakening to her in 2013 and she seems just ideal.
I’ve Just Had The Book For Christmas! It’s Gonna Take A Month Of Sunday’s To Read It! She’s A Wonderful Actress Anyway! My Favorite Film Is Badlands, She Only Won The Oscar Once, She Should Have Won It Many Times Afterwards!
Is she super or what?! Loved her in "Carrie" and "Coal Miner's Daughter." Thought she was absolutely robbed of the Oscar in "In the Bedroom." She was off the chart in that one!
God i Have Got to Get That Book Love Ya Sissy;) you where so awsome in Carrie & Coal Miner's Daughter and i love your Cameo in The Ring 2 as Samara's Mother again love Ya Sissy Love Ya♥♥♥♥♥=) XOXOX
I'v met her and yes she's the lady next door ordinary person plain big hat baggy clothes when she doen't want to be recognized as star very sweet personality
we all knew not to bring attention to her , she likes to not be bothered when in public fortunately our county did not have massive population then it was about 20 thousand or so
Aww that’s so great that she knew that she could go shopping at your local mall without getting harassed all the time. I don’t understand why people do that, treat people differently because they’re on movies & stuff. I wouldn’t do that myself, I’d just love to have a conversation with someone like her honestly! She seems so sweet & kind. Does she still go shopping there where you guys live?
@@andreahall7179 I've moved away since then but her home is the same now that she's older she's more of a homebody choosing when to go out and engagements she accepts . I doubt country girl will change I read a few months ago she now likes small shops in Richmond

it's unfair that an extraordinary actress like Sissy Spacek has just one Oscar
Favorite actress of all time.
one of my all time favorites!
I love Sissy Spacek. Her version of Carrie shits all over the other version that just came out (which was pointless).
Love Her!!! Amazing Actress!
I'm reading her book now & it's great! It shows how down to earth she truly is just like in interviews.
Sissy Spacek is completely adorable.

It's so nice seeing a beautiful woman (inside and out) wearing flats on television instead of high heels... down (closer to) to earth.
