my last time in this museum, I snapped three pictures, the memory was great... I saved the program and got very deep into Atlantic city at this time, 1965, 1970, and 1974. later, 2012. 2014, and 2016. I even got a clip of wfpg radio station, from the steelpier, 1982. just 11 months before the steel pier was set on fire, by arsonists. my room is covered with Atlantic city memorabilia... my dad's favorite vacation place.
Amazing Video. I remember being a 13 year kid going thru the wax museum. I still recall getting the creeps first time I saw that Algerian Hook and the Whipping Scene. I was hoping to see a picture of that whipping scene too. Curious to see what actually recall from it. Is there a picture of it in that souvoneir booklet?
As a kid I grew up in NY in the 50s/60s we went to Atlantic City in the summer and for some reason each Easter Sunday I too do remember the Salt Water Taffy and yes Mr Peanut too I visited the Tussaud's Wax Museum many times I have a book from the Museum from that era fond memories of those time I am now in Fl and been here for 35 years not been to AC since the late 70s I love watching Boardwalk and what went on in that time period knowing later I was there in AC its not what it was but its still there and that's a good thing
The Seaside Hotel And Motel located at Pennsylvania ave, demolished 1984 to make way for trumps taj mahal hotel and casino. demolished along with this motel was also Fralinger's Salt Water Taffy store and Planters Peanut Factory where Mr Peanut himself greeted customers by shaking their hands and welcoming them to his world famous factory. Thank you very much for you comment and be sure to check my other video called Atlantic City 1970's of my dad his father and mother in 1970.
Worst likenesses of the Beatles but otherwise a nice place, still have mid 70s brochure from it. While staying on So. Carolina Ave. across the back alley from the Chalfonte in the early 80s, watched it be demolished by wrecking ball during a weeks stay. As for the 1959 Steel Pier pics, the Dave Clark 5 appearance dates it to 1965 or later. The store immediately to the left of Tussaud's still stands and if one looks over the Boardwalk railing along where the Chalfonte storefronts once were, remnants of the lower front walls and entrance portals remain to this day. Further down the Boardwalk, just past the north corner of Ballys Park Place, if one is on the beach right along the Boardwalk, the beach entrance tunnel underneath the 'walk to what was once the Marlborough Blenheim is still visible not quite buried completely by beach sand. Guests there were required to use that entrance when directly accessing the beach in beachwear as up until it closed, only full dress was allowed in the lobby area. Quite a different aesthetic from today's "wear what you want wherever" times in present AC.

OMG. My childhood. Thank you for posting that. Every year we went to Atlantic City in the 70's I HAD to go to the museum.
Thanks for the video brought back some great memories, my father was the manager of the Museum, thanks again Todd Beaupit.
Do you have any interior photos of the museum or other photos of the wax figures such as the Phantom
