As a fit fifty year old woman in MS, i approve this message. I wore myself out, gained 40 lbs, got sick, and fired in an office job. I am struggling financially right now, but i feel free. I sell my art, i write, i refurbish furniture. I am happy. Go for your dreams
Yep, I don't mind working but it has to be for something I trained for. Where I'm an expert in and I'm not replaceable. If I'm being asked in an interview "What are your strengths and weaknesses" that's not a job I want to work. An employer should be calling me up because they looked at my portfolio and liked what the saw and we get straight to business.
I’ve been unemployed for almost 2 months and I have been able to change my life in such a short time it’s honestly worth it as long as you use your time wisely. Best of luck to you ‼️
I got asked to leave my last job (even though I’m an amazing worker and everyone loved my work) my manager wanted the whole team to lunch together and basically I preferred my lunch space and ate out alone and was seen as anti social
@@jayj4439 yes! Absolutely! I am glad I left the job (though miss some amazing people I met ) but some incapable managers are weird af and fake, and love sycophants and flying monkeys that stroke their gross efo
It's bad for the soul! I'm in a similar boat and left too. You're right this can't be life. I shared my story on my page today. Wishing you the best of luck, you're making the right decision
I don’t blame you for wanting to quit this particular job. The work culture there seems toxic. But, I would not give up on corporate 9-5 life altogether. There are better places out there.
True, for my case, i have began to value my time more. Being able to work my own hours and taking a break when i need to would be great. I have a 9-5 right now but i’m working on an exit strategy. I’m not going to quit without good plans in place
leaving a job behind is truly most people can't do.. and for you to be able to make that decision for yourself says a lot about your mindset and where you want to put your peace and happiness at is respectable. I wish the best for your journey!
On the same boat as you bro been looking into starting to make shit happen for myself a lot lately so this is just another sign for me to do so I thank you and wish you luck on all your future endeavors let’s make shit happen!! ✊
I've never had a job before however, your video helped me understand that sometimes, people work in jobs for a period of time and then quit to pursue something else they enjoy. Hopefully, quitting made a major difference and everything goes well. Whenever I do get a job within the Accounting department and find it repetitive overtime, I may do the same thing you're doing. Keep grinding and God bless! 💪
God bless brotha man. The repetition of doing something I don’t enjoy gets to me. But you can use it temporarily to get to the path you actually want to take
This is the exact mind space Im in. I make great money but my dreams are slowly dying because I barely have any time to do what I love. Its so draining.
I went through the repetitiveness. And i ended up quitting the 9-5 job i was at because i wouldn’t have been able to move up and accept a salary i would actually be happy with.
Sometimes you gotta adjust. It can cause you to be complacent and not take the needed to step to further your career. Love that you made that move bro and getting the money you deserve
You should not just quit your job. The sad reality of being an adult is that sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do to have a certain standard of living. You can always decide to learn a high-income skill or start your own business, but even then I would not quit until the money I was making from the company or skill replaced the money I'm making at work.
I've seen some types of jobs where I would literally choose homelessness instead. I'm not talking about physically demanding jobs. Some are just so meaningless/monotonous it should be fkin illegal. I'm not sure if this is the case for you or not, but it sounds bad. Good luck to you! Can't you automate some of your job? (without telling anyone)

I’ve never had a role like that but I have been looking for something that provides more flexibility/creativity. Possibly even something remote. I’m in finance right now so that can get boring real quick lol
Just about everybody including you knows that the American economy is in recession right now but we have yet to enter a financial crisis. Keep your job as long as you can.

You summed it up perfectly right here. I have the same exact mindset. I just feel like another number and seem very much replaceable
Yup. I’m here with ya brotha 1000%
Yup it’s time for a change 💪🏾

This is great! If you don’t mind me asking, how have you changed your life?
How are you paying your bills?
I got asked to leave my last job (even though I’m an amazing worker and everyone loved my work) my manager wanted the whole team to lunch together and basically I preferred my lunch space and ate out alone and was seen as anti social
This might be your sign. You can be the best worker but at the end of the day you’re just another to that company which sucks but it’s true
You’re not obligated to socialize. This is a business at the end of the day and them making it an obligation disgusts me.

You are speaking facts. It’s draining after a long day. Just gotta figure out that escape plan to do what you actually want to do
A 9-5 gives weird energy when you really think about it

You hit it right on the money. Super monotonous. I wish I could do some of the job automated lol
9-5?
We usually work 7am, 8am to 12am.
Days off are usually travel days.
invest in yourself.....

If I am eating lunch at my desk, then I am leaving an hour early.

I sincerely support him . There are different ways to achieve a goal. Not all millionaires went through 9 to 5 Jobs.
Have you considered a 9-5 job with a more creative role? That gives you variety in your day?
