Honestly, i have watched so many tutalials about this flash but i cudnt understand some if the elements the way i have understood them in this your explanation, this is awesome, atleast i now understand otherthings in this flashlight, i have owned it for about three months but it was like an English man watching a movie in chineese but without subtitles... Thumbs up Boss for this nice and helpful video
So I hardly leave reviews, I am just lazy like that. But holy cow! Awesome tutorial! I was going to try and read this small ass manual but so glad I took the sixteenish minutes to watch this. Going to save this video actually just for further drilling it in my head. Awesome video!
An excellent video, I have learned so much from watching it, well done. One question, can I fire off a multi-burst with the flash on my camera, I have a Canon550d? Many thanks Mike.
I’m glad it was useful. Yes you can do multi burst but the recycle time on the flash will be a limiting factor..the flash might not be able to keep up. Also the flash tends to heat up quite quickly and will stop firing when too hot.
Unfortunately this flash only shows a battery indicator when the batteries are low in the bottom right hand corner. To test your batteries, you can fire the flash and if it takes more than 3-4 seconds to recharge, change the batteries.
Excellent, except that you did not address the battery level indicator, as in - how to acquire it. I have a problem with my flash - yesterday it worked fine, shooting multiple fast shots, but today it won't flash at all - please advise of possible solutions, thank you. Batteries are fresh, BTW.
Unfortunately the Godox TT600 flash doesn't have a built-in battery level indicator. As for the sudden loss of function, I can't really tell what that could be. If you're using it on-camera, you could check that it is well positioned on the hotshoe.
Hi! PLEASE HELP!!! Based upon your very much respected recommendation, my TT600 arrived today. But when I mounted it to both my Canon 7D Mark II and my Canon T3, put it in M mode and turned it ON, both cameras displayed the same message on the LCDs: " External flash func. setting ! This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or the flash's power is turned off". PLEASE ADVISE as to what's going on and how to correct it. Many thanks in advance!
The message just means that you cannot controll the flash from your camera since it is a single pin manual flash. You should still be able to use it but you will need to adjust all the settings on the flash itself.
Excellent! QUESTION: Let's say that the TT600 is in the camera's hotshoe. I select S2 for optical flash. My intention is to use the camera's pop-up flash to optically fire the TT600, but the physical pop-up collides/hits the TT600, and doesn't fully open. SO - what's the solution? (Basically, I just want the TT600 to flash from the camera, without having to purchase a separate radio "trigger", or to flash from a remote flash unit). PLEASE ADVISE, thank you!
hey mykel; i wound up here because i DONT yet have experience with flash but am looking into it. But I think I understand your issue. I have seen "hot shoe extensions" that maybe will help your situation. Even if they don't you might find them inspirational for a different configuration. hope this helps!
You can get a cold shoe accessory so that you mount the flash either a bit higher on the hot shoe or to the side. Alternatively, invest in a inexpensive light stand to mount your flash. This gives you even more flexibility and gives you a Jumpstart into off camera flash photography.
Very nice review I have a same flash but i don't know how to on and off battery indicator on lcd panel could you tell me how to i find this on/switch in flash
Hi everyone, is any possibility to connect tt600 by power wire? Not to camera, just to power adapter/charger or something. To stop using battery at home, and use power from the wall socket (of course by adapter) Ps: This is my first light, and is amazing. Thanks.
Hi there. You have two options. One is to just use it on top of your camera on the hot shoe. The other is to use optical sync mode where you trigger your flash using the in-built flash on your camera. On the left side of your camera, you will find a little lightning symbol...press the button to pop the flash up. Then follow directions in the video to set your flash to optical sync mode. The speedlight must, however, be able to "see" your on-camera flash when it goes off. You can turn the power of the camera flash down so that it doesn't affect your exposure. You do this in the camera menu. Hope that all makes sense. Save up and buy yourself a trigger...it is more reliable. Good luck.
Unfortunately I don’t think the TT600 shows you the battery level. It only has a low battery indicator when batteries are low. You will also know when the batteries are low when it starts taking a second or more to recharge after a flash cycle.
My godox tt600 is stuck and screen shows CH22,and the buttons are not working, this is the 3rd day i would use it.the 2first time it worked fine.can anyone help

The Godox speedlight uses a Canon battery pack connector. Godox also makes this pack for their speedlights Propac PB960 flash power battery pack kit.
