@Godnla it's an honor to meet Monk's son. My Name is Teddy. Wes is the reason why I play jazz guitar. I love the albums that the brothers did together. there is such a spirit in the playing that you don't hear on any of the other albums that Monk played bass with Wes on. Monks bas sound on Live at Jorgie's is so fat and his time is so laid back, never on top, the groove in undeniable! yes indeed.
@Godnla - Buddy was one of my favorite vibes players of all times. Heck of a piano player too. The Montgomery Bros don't get the credit they deserve. Montgomery Bros in Canada is still one of my favorite LP's. I still play it on my turntable
This technique using rest strokes is easier if you have is smaller hand like he appears to have. I don't use a pick either, but use a free stroke instead. Nice sound
This Randy guy is so awesome....amazing right hand....swinging hard!
great tune, wonderful trio and sweet guitar playing.
Fingerstyle Jazz ! Que bien suena , que buen fraseo y armonizaciones del joven Guitarrista.
You know a classical guitarist when you see em
great job!
:) Jazz is not age biased! Agree with very well done! :)
bon swing tres agréable à écouter
Nice right hand on that guitarist. I'd like to see more guitarists use that type of bass plucking.
@brewtul so true. Groove Yard is one of the most underrated and greatest jazz albums.
A "dream Team" too !!
