I’m very familiar with Vienna and your show title caught my eye. That’s so funny that you chose the Meinl preserves as an awesome must buy. You’re absolutely right, it is delicious and not too sweet. I travel to Vienna with my husband and daughter every year for vacation and we always bring home about 6 jars. We never stay in a hotel, we rent an Airbnb instead and our first stop is always at Meinl for excellent groceries to enjoy during our stay.
Reading your comment made my day! Thank you so much for sharing. Indeed, their jams are truly gems. Excited to know what other Viennese goodies you usually get when you’re there 😊
Well yes, there’s a few more. My husband loves to go the Manner store to sample the latest flavors of their wafer cookies. Lemon is the most recent favorite. Just behind Stephansdom there’s a glove shop where the owner expertly fits you for the perfect pair. I also bring back chocolates from Salzburg called Mozartkugeln. They’re delicious dark chocolate, nougat, marzipan and pistachio filled chocolate balls. Last but not least we head on over to Hotel Sacher for a slice of their famous Sacher Torte with whipped cream. It’s a chocolate cake with apricot jam filling. You can buy a whole cake, they come in various sizes and are packaged in a small wooden box for travel. We’re heading to Vienna this coming December because we love to go to Vienna’s City Hall called the Rathaus to Christmas shop at the IMO best Christkindlmarket. Thanks to you, I can’t wait!
This is a treasure trove of really helpful information. Thank you for being so generous with your sharing! I’m saving all of them down for my next visit. My husband is a huge fan of their Sacher torte, he can eat one every day 😊 enjoy your trip there this December, it must be a really beautiful time during Christmas!
@@IamGenith thank you so much! Definitely saving this and will check it out when I next visit ☺️☺️ already wishing that I had bought more of those bottles of jams.
