Looking forward to more excellent presentations on each parish, so that we Jamaicans can be inspired to exceed the productivity of the past, by our own efforts for the benefit of our own people. Every adult must take legal control (by any means) of a piece of real estate, however small, for himself / herself, and a piece for each child , in preparation for the rise of our island, to exceed its former glory🎉❤😊
Big up Jamaica 🇯🇲 one love ,i am from st Catrine ,all up in Douglas Castle 🏰Jamaica 🇯🇲 ,but now i live in London ,but in Jamaica every other year .,yes we in the city of London Looking at yared ❤
When in was it's natural state without so much buildings, it was much more beautiful, i remember going to Negril as a child it just had lots of grape trees along the beach, very nice in those early 70'S.

Very interesting and engaging. History continues to be fascinating to me. History should be taught from grade 1. This cultivates stronger sense of identity, belonging and more interest in attending educational institutions

@@EliteJamaica what u think....I have never heard about most things u present ..Can't know everything but most things u talk about I would suppose should be basics taught in schools ..just saying I am intrigued by history and it surprise me how much I didn't know ab9ut my own country
History is history but today is the reality of eternity! Let's use our energy and assiduity towards a better tomorrow. So forgive to be forgiven. Bless 🙏.
Time for us to change these old devilish names and bring in names from our ancestral past. About St John, St George, St Andrews needs to be changed too. We have no connection to these British names.
@@manovrsb why are you bringing up the tainos and Spanish in the same sentence? Are you implying that is their original language? Anyways ideally I'd want this country to be an independent Pro Black PanAfrican Republic. Where we're more unified, no longer have colonial era relics that was handed off to us. Despite that "out of many one people" motto we the Black African majority like to repeat it doesn't reflect on the country. Change the names, the coat of arms & motto to better represent our majority Black African population. Starting with the coat of arms. That's gotta go. Get rid of that European shield with the red saint George's cross. The indigenous people I guess can stay since they were the first here but we need to be on it as well. As for the motto it's of Latin origin. As I've said before we need to stop using this motto we didn't even come up with & create our own that better reflects the people. Jamaica is at least 90+% Black creating something that represents us better shouldn't be an issue. There's other countries in the world that out their people first since they're the majority but we(not just Jamaicans but black African diaspora worldwide) is still holding on to these powerful non Black families that's been in control since the colonial era. Another thing I'd like is got Jamaican patois to be recognized as it's own distinguished language & not cast aside as some mere dialect or "broken English". Shout-out to the Haitians dem for when they liberated themselves they made sure to separate Haitian Creole from standard French & chose a language that better reflects their people. Another thing we need to do is weed out the bootlickers in power who aspire to whiteness, downplay our language & bending over backwards for their white masters. if Washington or London say "jump" our bootlickers will say "how high". We as Black Jamaicans didn't get to liberate ourselves like the Haitians wrote our own constitution , decide our language, coat of arms, etc. it was all handed to us by non Black elites who didn't have our best interests at heart & sadly many people will defend them & spew this nations national motto as justification. There's serious reformation needed in this country. We need a cultural revolution.
Who wrote all this history you researched in English,is not the same colonial wicked master.Bob Marley said fool some people sometimes but not all the people all time.We need forward our names language and culture to know what happened back then.
Jamaican are not African bro just a few African are there, we are Taino, Arawak, moors, Sephardic Jew!! Prisoners or war not slaves in their own land..
Thank be to God for the highlighting of this 🙏. Two plus decades ago... I was discussing the parishes in JA. And when I said once there were "16" no . Yard never holds more than "14" of them they said 😂😂 So even I was SIX outside... Honestly, I didn't know that there were once "22" parishes . Now ✅️ I know ❤❤🎉❤❤.

That's meant these parishes owners still greeting money from jamaica
No one owns the parishes. They are a part of the country, every country needs borders
We need to change these colonial era names
We better be careful we dont go back into those times again.
@@andreaphang68 exactly
To what its original spanish name?? We don't know what the Tianos called this place.
@manovrsb We just have to accept the history and work in the present to prepare the future for our kids.
