Honestly look at One Piece as a whole. We barely got to see Whitebeard before he died and he cemented himself as an iconic and top character in one arc. Only recently we’ve been getting glimpses of him during Roger’s and Rox’s eras.
I know this is my opinion and not a fact, but past, present, and future. I will always consider Whitebeard the best character of one piece. This war was such an amazing fight and story that was animated magnificently. Out of the whole thing I only had one area I though was a fail and it isn't enough to even slightly dull how amazing it all was. Grim prod, thank you for making this video.
Years later and the man was still mentioned as legend by yamato during luffy and kaidos fight. You can't get more Chad level respect in anime like this and *FEEL* his power

Akainu could not have died at marineford for multiple reason 1 it was is official revealing introduction 2 He's and Admiral don't underestimate there strength 3 and last he fought a sick and badly injured way pass his prime whitebeard so for these reasons he came out on top
whitebeard alias edward d. newgate in his prime would have destroyed marineford by himself.. he is such a powerfull charactre and died in honour.. So sad we only saw parts of his usual power as he was heavily on drugs and way far beyond his prime.. Even though i think we saw a little bit of his prime time as he was deeply angered due to aces death and fought akainu
White Beard should be revived as Zombie,no more age gap,or some more powerfull undead form,just to make the One Piec world tremble once more,And we see this full power in this prime form),even if was some OVA movie.
