I wonder why they don't powder-coat or rust proof those iron engine mounts? The SS version is nice but expensive. In one year they'll be covered in rust.
Hello Steve- I’m doing other work on the engine and transmission and traveling quite a bit. Hope to be running the engine within the next 3 weeks. Will let you know. I’m also adding a sigma drive SD55 to the shaft to absorb any mis-alignment of the shaft - gear. The sigma drive advertises up to 3 degrees of mis- alignment or variation due to hull flexing.

Great to know - how are the results in the boat? Less vibration? Were you able to align the shaft relatively easily? Cheers!
