Peter Eacmen Hi.. use the right side of your right foot instead of your heel to blip the throttle. Also the fly-by-wire throttle of the E46 M3 is suffering from throttle lag. I’ve installed the Sprintbooster to bypass that. In 1 of my videos you see the installment and the result of that. And then practice, practice, practice. Cheers Dr.C.
Great vid, thanks. Sometimes you're not heel-and-toe downshifting, instead you first blip the throttle and then you brake into the corner. Any reason for that? Just taking it easy, not absolutely trying to clock the best possible time?
Thanks. The Z4Minator is a very unstable car. A sudden change in revs of the original (so heavy) flywheel when downshifting will result in the rear of the car stepping out. For example At 7:37 min I was coaching the car instead of braking late to safely pass the megane, but 3rd gear was better after overtaking for a quick responsive throttle. The blip kept the car stable when downshifting under coaching. If this is not the spot what you mean than my answer will be ... an extra blip just makes a great sound ... And yes no timing and so never in a hurry. Just being a tourist. Cheers
Do you do it 1. before engaging the gear or 2. after you've engaged the gear and before you release the clutch? I find that if I do 2, sometimes the gear won't go in if I'm trying to get it into 2nd or 1st, so I started doing it the first way. Is that how you're supposed to do it? P.S. Awesome driving and that Z4 sounds mean as hell!
The moment you release the clutch blip the throttle simultaneously and engage lower gear or you could try double declutch press clutch disengage to neutral blip the throttle and engage to lower gear release clutch
DutchRingRacing thanks was looking for how to mount a foot well cam. Also forgot how quick heel and toe is for a naturally aspirated car, I've only driven cars with turbos and you can't just do a quick blip like you did, have to do it for longer. Great video by the way
the passenger did a good job with the peddles while the driver steered and shifted
🤣
Teamwork!
The ultimate driving machine driven with the ultimate driving technique.
Thanks!. Old school never goes out of style ...
Great driving, nice shifting!
👌throttle down
Great video, great driving! Also helpful tips in your responses, good stuff man!
Glad it was helpful to you. Cheers
Any advice you can give someone trying to heel toe in similar setup? I am running E46 M3 and struggling with heel toe.

Did you adjust the heights of your pedals at all? The gas pedal seems to be nice and level with the brakes.
Gave video!
Thanks! There is more where that came from. Subscribe, like, deel op FaceBook enz. Een beetje exposure kan nooit kwaad. Cheers Dr.C.
P.S. Mooi kanaal heb je! 1 subscriber erbij...
DutchRingRacing Je hebt er zelf ook 1 bij ;-)

Kinda sounds like a TS050 onboard
How did you mount the camera

5:55 rofl! i bet that ferrari driver suprised a lot :D
the shorter gear needs higher engine rev to do the same speed. thats why u heel and toe.
of course he has to honk at the BMW driver 😆
