To Mr. Godin, Tre bon!....Im in BC Canada. next year I hope to purchase one of your quality guitars. I'll be proud to say it's made in Quebec Canada. Thank You. Sincerely Marsha
Just got one yesterday (session model). Shocking quality, feel, tone, tone options, looks. All for less than $600 and they toss in a good quality gig bag.
Well, after watching the attention to detail his factory employees put into Godin guitars I've decided to purchase one of the A-6 Ultra's. I was looking at a new Fender Tele but I would rather spend the money for a Canadian built Godin than a Mexican Fender.
I got the opportunity to play the Godin Passion this past weekend at Sweetwater Sound. I have to admit it was in the top 5 guitars that I have ever played in over 30 yrs. of playing. An amazing instrument with the greatest attention to detail. I will be checking into Godin guitars again.
Ricky Bobby I have a RG3 Its a real nice guitar, pricey for a Godin, but every bit as good or better than top of the line fender. HDR makes it a better guitar IMO. The thing I like most is the Godin neck. For my hands(where are a bit smaller) it feels really good. It takes a while for my hands to get sore from playing. Pair it with my Traynor YCS50 and you have an amazing setup.
I have owned quite a few different models of their guitars and still have some . Acoustics electrics., hybrids. Every single one was great quality had great playability. This guitar builder is one of the many reasons why i am proud to be a Canadian.
Why they are not more widely known is a mystery to me. I have/had 5 so far and all were perfect. And their necks are legendary. Best Regards to the great craftspeople at Godin!!!
I have owned a Godin Multiac for about 10 years. Bought it used, then a Roland GR20 a couple of years later. Great guitar!! I play finger style and get a lot of compliments on the sound. like to add "string" as I play solos. Very well built. Ed B., Ohio
Just got a Stadium HT and it’s a excellent quality instrument. Perfect sound, playability and craft. Excellent gig bag also. I was a Gibson and Fender guy, but Godin’s quality and price have won me over. My $649 Godin has Perfect intonation equal or better than my $1,600 guitar. Been playing it three hours a day and it’s still in tune a week later.
You gotta get one. The build quality is far superior to other brands on the same price range or even the more expensive ones. I also got a Radium ( but the cheaper Carbon as the Winchester Limited are sold out ) and now saving for the more expensive Summit Classic Gold.
Just bought a second hand Godin Radiator, cream body with gorgeous silver leaf pick guard and I honestly couldn't say enough good things about it. I didn't even realize they were made in Canada and how cool and passionate the owner Robert Godin is but now I do and I guess I found even more good things to say about it after all lol.. Thinking of getting one of the 2020 model Godin Radiators with the upgrades to keep the other one company :p They are damn sexy guitars.
I really enjoyed the tour and its nice to know i own one of these guitars. The diligence and attention to the quality of these guitars is amazing and the owner was smart to build these guitars in Canada..Thank you !
I love my Progression! Quality and attention to detail is amazing. Solid guitar that feels like it will last a lifetime. The sound that comes out of it and the options with passive and active pups makes it truly versatile.
I really like the guy. He seems very enthusiastic, very proud. And he should be! I like the fact that they try new stuff, and although I don't like their design in general I do respect them for the way they approach everything.
Totally agree. Maybe some other companies are made of equal quality but NO ONE has better quality than Seagull. I had an S6 Original for a while. Sold it. Regretted it not long after and bought a Seagull Maritime SWS. LOVE IT!!!!
I love my Godin guitars! I have a Flat Five and a G-1000. I also had a XTSA that a scumbag stole from me. Great guitars, great value. Like most high end stuff, if the setup is off, the thing is dead. Give it good care (good setup and fresh strings) and IT IS ALIVE! Thanks Robert Godin! I am sure your guitars and legacy will be similar as Leo Fender one day.
Good evening from Switzerland I juts bought a Godin Multiac nylon string and am blown away by its quality and its amazing sustain even unplugged for circa 11 audible seconds compared to an average of only 7 seconds on all my other acoustic instruments. One guitar fantstique je me jejouis de decourir vote presentation sure la production dans vote usine. Pour ether claireje ne suis la LE save morse.
own a godin session and an art lutherie acoustic love em both the session is a magic middle ground between a strat and a tele and imo is made with much higher quality then fender guitars currently are
Nylon Multiac & Freeway SA. LOVE THEM. Other worldly construction and finish. I seriously think the Multiac Nylon is impossibly perfect. Both cooperate very well with GK compatible 13 pin systems and track wonderfully.
I got a Godin Artisan ST-1, built in 1991. Limewood body with birdseye maple cap, birdseye maple neck with ebony fretboard, and it has a Kahler-Floyd trem. Bought it quite cheap 10 years ago, and at once changed the Schaller pickups to some Dimarzio Areas. That was the only mod I made on that guitar. It’s perfect, plays and sounds just great.
Godin guitars are great! I own a Core HB, absolutely love it. Just a straight well built guitar for the day. Also considering the price. Made close to home, very important to me.
me thinks these are better made ,and higher quality, at a better price, than any guitar manufacturer out there today,Gibson,Fender you guys had better take notice, cause these guitars sound fantastick
I've got a fairly old LG and an Exit 22. Quite different guitars (ie different scale lengths, materials, necks, pickups) but I love them both. Very well made. I've also got 2 USA Strat Pluses and a MIJ Blonde on Blonde Tele. The Godins are easily as well made and are less than 1/2 the price. I wrote to Godin about my LG and they were happy to reply with build date and other info about it. Great company.
You know what would be a great promo/show idea? Get the CEOs for Fender, Gibson, PRS, Godin, and any other major manufacturer, drop them in their respective factories completely unassisted and see which ones can put together the best guitar.
I've never owned a Godin guitar but would like to. I have a Fender Strat and a Fender Tele as well as a Epiphone Les Paul and an Epiphone Sheraton and a Yamaha. If I ever get the chance I'll buy a Godin and then my collection is complete.
kal Desjarlais I have the Icon 2 Convertible. Everyone agrees about what a great guitar it is. The P rails are just awesome for 3 types of tones. Everyone that tries it says its as good or better than a Gibby. I still have 7 godin and they pretty much are all good players. Have sold 4 of them to friends that liked them so much. Their acoustic line of seagulls are a little quite but can't be beat for the price.
I love the way he says foam, tone and bone.. :) But not as much as i love this tour! Thank you Robert and PG :D I'd love to work/own a factory like that some day. The research parts where they figured out new ways is what i think my brain would be of best use. Must .. have .. a .. factory!
In all my travels through guitar stores worldwide, I don't think I've ever played a Godin that I didn't like. Well crafted, affordable, and sounds great in all situations. I can't say that with full faith about some of their American competitors. Great job guys!
I knew godin was a canadian manufacturer but did not realize it was based out of Quebec. I recently just purchased a 5th ave after 2ish yrs of wanting a gretsch hollw body (brian setzer fan). I didn't research Godin much as all i recalled was a highscholl buddy decades ago had some bc rich electric that he sold to buy a godin electric and he said he could not believe the difference in sound. The store I bought my 5th ave at isn't a store that carries godin but it was a trade in for amp apparently. I kept playing the gretsch 5420tg and the godin 5th ave uptown. Noty sure yet if I made a bad decision yet or not...haven't owned it long enough yet but the 5420tg will be in collection shortly after xams and then I can take all teh time I need to make a true comparison.
I had a 2oth anniversaire s6 with a “fort epp” case, and the hinges absolutely did break. Though playing out at least three times a week is a lot of stress on a bendy piece of plastic. I ended up selling the guitar more or less due to high action. I taped the case hinges with duct tape and it was fine.
Such a great company. I have had a few Seagull acoustics and they are second to none. I can confidently say that this company puts out products that would cost 2-3x as much from other more popular brands.
No, it's the interviewer who doesn't remember to point the mic at the speaker. A simple lavalier mic and a wireless transmitter would solve all the human failing.
I bought a brand new Godin radiator reissue from Long and Mcquade and the nut needed to be changed plus the paint on the side of the guitar is flaking away on its own…it does play like butter though I just wish I didn’t end up with a guitar that shouldn’t have passed QC paint wise…
All m'y guitare are Godin session, Godin LG , Norman B20 , La patrie,étude , all sound good and easy to play, Godin quality control is top ,is the best, i,m a proud Québécois is made in North America,un Canada,in the province of Québec!
To the two individuals that feel the need to argue, either buy the guitar or don't its not all that difficult. If you don't like how they're made change the parts or don't buy it.
It's about time you sorted the mikes out for your interviews. Why do you only use one? Give the interviewee a mike that hangs around their neck. It's so annoying when you can't hear them.
i own a gibson sg that had a circuit board in it, i owned it for a year and the circuit board broke after normal usage, i then had it hard wired and i haven had any problems since, I want to see proof that those circuit boards are not made by chinese/korean manufacturers. some things are not meant to be changed for the sake of durability

I love how Robert Godin is so passionate about every little thing
I work There !!! Sanding all these beauty !!! Just saying Hi !!!
You're a good man Daniel and it shows in the quality and craftsmanship of the guitars that you help bring to life. Sensass!
Still there ? or did they buff you out ? I wanna buy one of those Single Coils they made for the radiator guitars(circa 2000).....is that possible ?
you do a GREAT JOB!!
Thank you I just bought one of these guitar they are underrated way better than Gibson
Daniel what is the warranty on a Godin guitar if it was bought second hand. i have a question about the neck
Fantastic guitars. I own a Godin XTSA and the quality of workmanship on it is superb. Everything about it is superb.
To Mr. Godin, Tre bon!....Im in BC Canada. next year I hope to purchase one of your quality guitars. I'll be proud to say it's made in Quebec Canada. Thank You. Sincerely Marsha
Godin is the Canadian winning formula for top quality guitars ! Cheers from Quebec , Canada !
As a Canadian and living in Quebec I'm so proud of what Mr. Godin as accomplish for the music scene it's amazing great video👍
only played one once in a friends studio and was impressed with it picking up a strange guitar that was instantly comfortable and oh so playable!
Godin makes some of the finest guitars on earth. I will get one someday.
Great vid. You can feel Roberts love and pride. Hoping to own a Godin soon
Just got one yesterday (session model). Shocking quality, feel, tone, tone options, looks. All for less than $600 and they toss in a good quality gig bag.
I was invited by Robert Godin to tour take a tour and try some guitars from here!! Im going tomorrow!
Nice to see a guy making guitars who knows his job ,and is interested in getting it
right , also moving forward in design

Sweetwater doesn't appear to sell the PASSION guitars.
I have owned quite a few different models of their guitars and still have some . Acoustics electrics., hybrids. Every single one was great quality had great playability. This guitar builder is one of the many reasons why i am proud to be a Canadian.
Godin guitars are some of the best guitars you can buy.

Leo Fender would love to see this factory. Thanks for the tour. Waiting for my "new" Solidac to arrive.

The passion is genuine and it shows in the final product.
Great great quality and sound.
+Bruno Santia not the video for sure

In anybody out there has never tried a Godin guitar then do it. Best quality guitar I have ever owned.
Awesome person and very knowlegable. Respect.
Love his enthusiasm and attention to detail. Beautiful to watch how it all comes together. Love my Godin!
My favorite video in all of TH-cam.
Great guitars. Quality and workmanship is second to none.
Now I understand why Godin makes such good guitars. Each manufacturing stage is really precise.
I could listen to Robert describe a paper bag. :D
There's so much nerdy information here, but it really makes me want to buy a Godin! Brilliant video.
Just purchased the Godin Radium Winchester Brown limited. Awesome
@@pierrebinette9408 Nice! Congratulations :)

I love my Godin Seagull, and I especially love the fact that is was made in a safe factory by well paid employees.
With wood only from sustainable sources and almost zero emissions because all of Godin's factories run almost completely on hydro power.
Love mine too had it 15 years I think maybe longer.
Totally agree. Maybe some other companies are made of equal quality but NO ONE has better quality than Seagull. I had an S6 Original for a while. Sold it. Regretted it not long after and bought a Seagull Maritime SWS. LOVE IT!!!!
every godin guitars that Ive tried has the best sounds. no fret buzz anywhere, just a flawless instrument
Just amazing quality and skilled, properly treated workers! And, well priced guitars that are MADE IN CANADA AND U.S.A!!
Great tour with a genuine guy, but come on Premier Guitar...get the guy mic'd up properly next time!
Agreed, get that man a lavalier !!!
I love my Godin guitars! I have a Flat Five and a G-1000. I also had a XTSA that a scumbag stole from me. Great guitars, great value.

Nylon Multiac & Freeway SA. LOVE THEM. Other worldly construction and finish. I seriously think the Multiac Nylon is impossibly perfect. Both cooperate very well with GK compatible 13 pin systems and track wonderfully.
down to earth guy! He gives a great honest tour!
It's in Lapatrie, an other factory of Godin, where they make the Necks and the Lapatrie's acoustic guitars
I got a Godin Artisan ST-1, built in 1991. Limewood body with birdseye maple cap, birdseye maple neck with ebony fretboard, and it has a Kahler-Floyd trem. I have Core CT. I love the way it sounds and feels.
I was so impressed, I bought a 5th Avenue CW Kingpin 2. love it.
Awesome guitars!
I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my first Godin guitar. A mint condition Dorchester with LACE pickups.
Wow this is so amazing! Proud to play Godin Instruments 🤘🍁💙
They make goood Guitars
Very impressed their low end modal had better set up than my American vintage fender and sounds great. Defiantly getting another one
I've got a lowly Godin, an early SD24 and i love it. Great guitars.
I really like my Multiac. And the GR50 rocks too! Interesting to see the factory
me thinks these are better made ,and higher quality, at a better price, than any guitar manufacturer out there today,Gibson,Fender you guys had better take notice, cause these guitars sound fantastick

I bought an LG is 1996 and sold it in 2003. I've regretted it ever since. Miss that guitar more than family.
You know what would be a great promo/show idea? Get the CEOs for Fender, Gibson, PRS, Godin, and any other major manufacturer, drop them in their respective factories completely unassisted and see which ones can put together the best guitar.
They are a good value in guitars.

my type 2 classic rivals a les paul standard and blows away those epiphone les pauls
kal Desjarlais I have the Icon 2 Convertible. Everyone agrees about what a great guitar it is. The P rails are just awesome for 3 types of tones. Cool video! I have a Kingpin II, an A6, a Spectrum, a Session, a Custom Session, an ACS SA Slim, and a Seagull.
There was a company called Signature guitars, and godin made necks for the company.
I love the way he says foam, tone and bone.. :) But not as much as i love this tour! Thank you Robert and PG :D I'd love to work/own a factory like that some day. The research parts where they figured out new ways is what i think my brain would be of best use. Must .. have .. a .. factory!
I enjoyed that vid thanks lads -I want a Godin now I know they care - that guitar case is made from the roswell ufo debris
In all my travels through guitar stores worldwide, I don't think I've ever played a Godin that I didn't like. Well crafted, affordable, and sounds great in all situations. I can't say that with full faith about some of their American competitors. Great job guys!
@Rodney - Which Godins do you own?
Says the word "la patrie" once in his language and then the second time with an American accent. 6:34
Godin guitars are fantastic.

Now I need to find a shop that carries a wide line of godins. Now i want an electric too lol.
Impressive... my next guitar will be a Godin. Can’t decide between a Passion and the CT Convertible.
Nice vid. With such price taga, Godin are just the best on the market. I own a Session, lovely.
I have a Seagull and a 5 th avenue, love both
great guitars I have an art and lutherie legacy tennessee red and a godin metropolis lbe element and I'm planning to buy a stadium electric
he said La Patrie, its also in Quebec< i think its where the acoustics are made

Love my Godin 5th Avenue.
This is a brilliant man.
One of the most interesting factory tours ruined by bad microphone work.
not the mic. THE ENGINE NOISE at background, isn`t it so?
No, it's the interviewer who doesn't remember to point the mic at the speaker. A simple lavalier mic and a wireless transmitter would solve all the human failing.
Compressor. Limiter. Solved. Bad audio editing or no audio editing.
The interviewer contributed almost nothing. Simply hand the mic over to the factory guy!
Yep, I agree with you there. He hasn't a clue how to conduct a tour/interview either.
Why don't they use 2 mics? Maybe a lavalier wireless (clip on) for each person?
I bought a brand new Godin radiator reissue from Long and Mcquade and the nut needed to be changed plus the paint on the side of the guitar is flaking away on its own…it does play like butter though I just wish I didn’t end up with a guitar that shouldn’t have passed QC paint wise…
I wish they had those clip on mics so I could actually hear wat they say the entire time
I love my Multiac ACS SA even more after watching this video!!
They stopped making acousticaster.
When it was coupled with the LR BAGGS it was incredible.
Not sure why you would stop production…
Own 2 steel multiacs. Absolutely awesome axes.
I am waiting for my first Godin Nylon. 13 pin but can I have or put in a USB adding it?
@Skaisg Actually eggs are very architecturally strong, try breaking them from the bottom or top.
That circuit is really good idea
All m'y guitare are Godin session, Godin LG , Norman B20 , La patrie,étude , all sound good and easy to play, Godin quality control is top ,is the best, i,m a proud Québécois is made in North America,un Canada,in the province of Québec!
Very cool!
Great information!!
very nice !!
+niptodstan you're right the micing is terrible, they should at least compress the sound so its all at the same level.
i own a gibson sg that had a circuit board in it, i owned it for a year and the circuit board broke after normal usage, i then had it hard wired and i haven had any problems since, I want to see proof that those circuit boards are not made by chinese/korean manufacturers. some things are not meant to be changed for the sake of durability
Okay. Now I have to buy one. Damn it. I'm going to have to save up my allowance.
Oh, screw it. I'm getting one ASAP.
My next guitar will be a Godin 😀
godin guitars are more hand made than more expensive gibsons
...And better quality control too.
Godin is highly respected in the guitar community. They make high quality at an affordable price. Stop spending your money on Chinese or Asian guitars and invest your money in a North American company.
