@@SunniMerlot Please tell me why you’re so sure he’s bad? Only thing you can point to is he stayed 5 years in college but when you provide context on it the picture becomes clearer. Career 68% completion percentage, led the nation at 77% last season. 2nd in the class in big time throw rate behind Maye, which has become a common metric in the true elite passers in the league. When you add in the caveat that he had 5 different coordinators in 5 years his profile becomes that much more impressive. No one is saying he’s the next Allen or Mahomes but to just dismiss him after landing in the perfect spot for his strengths just seems ignorant to me.

He’s drafted by the Broncos. He’s practically doomed. The only reason Elway was a success is because he was drafted by the Colts. All Broncos QBs drafted are doomed.
Does anyone remember that they drafted bos number 1 receiver in the fourth round? What about Alex forsythe, bos center that was drafted last year and going to be competing for the starting center position? If anyone thinks Bo is a bust, go look at his tape, stats, and background story. This kids not a bum, hes talented, smart, and was on sean paytons radar from day 1. Thats seans guy, i think he knows a little bit about Qbs more so than the arm chair haters posting hes a bust. Looks like caleb williams had a bad day yesterday at the bears camp. Always wondered if any WR or TE has ever been honest about how they run routes for certain QBs? If a WR likes a guy personally more, do they run harder?
That can obviously affect an outcome.
Bo Nix might end up being a serviceable QB but im not buying for 1 sec that any of this practice stuff means anything.
Bo Nix was the last QB taken and a clear reach by almost everyone in the industry and because his coach got caught trying to trade up for a QB not named Bo Nix there's going to be a natural sales job to everyone especially Nix. None of this means anything, if anything, its more politics than football.

The law of averages would have to agree with you considering the Broncos have almost no luck drafting QBs. Cutler might be the best one they've drafted in 50+ years.
Broncos havent drafted many first round Qb's. Anything after the first round is a crapshoot that no teams have success with & the broncos are one of the only organizations that never picked first overall.

Even if they put their thumb on the scales a bit, it's still good for a rookie to have to earn the starting job rather than just being given it. They just need to be careful not to drag it out too long. If it's still going on in preseason then they are screwing up.
I miss the days when actual sports journalists wrote stories instead of bloggers, TH-camrs & podcastrs jumping on every sliver of whatever comes out of a coaches mouth & using it to generate social media clicks, likes, mentions & follows for ad revenue. It's a shame that most fans today have never even experienced that. They think this BS is normal.

Don't start him unless he is ahead by light years. The offensive line might suck still. Let him play towards the end of the year like Mahomes did. Concentrate on him being starter next year with a more complete team. Next yr they will have all their picks back, I would advise a lineman in round 1 or 2 or even both. No rush this year unless he just is miles past the other 2 QBs.
The O-line was top 10 in the league last year based on statistics. They'll be better this year because there's actual pocket passers in the QB room now.

Bo is a high floor low ceiling guy. Demver has very few weapons. It can work but they need a couple more draft classes

That’s not fair, you’re still going from a college offense to a pro offense. It’s still an adjustment learning how to conduct yourself as a full time professional as opposed to a part time student athlete.
