The clicking you hear is the fan blade 'snubbers' which effectively are dampers. That's a very old engine with narrow chord, solid fan blades. To control vibration in them they have these snubbers about 2/3 up the blade and although they are loose when the engine is shutdown, when the engine spins and the blades load, they twist and the snubbers lock against each other, preventing any blade vibration. When the engine is shutdown and it windmills with the wind flowing though, as the blades go over top centre, they flip to the other side and hit the next damper. That is the ticking noise you hear. Modern fan blades are hollow with a wide chord and reduced in number. They are also much more 3d shaped. Barnoldswick is the epicentre of these blades and is where Rolls-Royce manufacture them. It is as advanced as anywhere in the world at this.
My son drives a sprayer on a big farm in Norfolk, every spring they he washes it and then sprays virtually the whole machine with that wax oil stuff, it’s like mint under the grime but looks absolutely filthy all year!!
Hi On Friday I spent 7.5 hours revelling from Tignes to Geneva past several farmers blocks. The whole thing is massively under reported in UK media. I talked with several people delayed by the farmers and to a person they were all very supportive of the farmers. The blockade are right across Europe, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, all Northern Europe. Have you ever watch Larson farm, they have a dedicated was bay and so keep their equipment very clean, they also use nano technology to keep the shine on their kit. Weather here is perfect, went for a sail today, a cool 25degrees very mild for Abu Dhabi

VF stands for Very High Flexion. The tyre can carry 40% more load at the same pressure as a standard tyre, or the same load but with 40% less air. Subsequently, IF, Increased Flexion is similar but at 20%.

re-drill your field with spring barley us livestock farmers need the barley straw for bedding. i wouldn't be in too much hurry to wash your new drill.......if that oil is on there to protect the paint then leave it there it will protect it and you have a better looking machine when you trade it in again

VF is used to identify an agricultural tyre that can either: Carry the same load as a standard tyre in the same size, but at 40% lower pressure. … or… Carry 40% more load than a standard tyre in the same size, at the same pressure.

Big estate near us, the forklift driver used to pull a small trailer with him with tines, bale spike & in harvest time, grain pusher so he always had everything with him he needed. Are the outrigger wheels on the drill 2 different sizes?
Half width on the new Avatars is done by shutting off half the metering roller, if you look each roller is now split in two and there is a motor either side. Most annoying thing about it though is you can only slide the calibration bag in from the wrong side. Unless they’ve updated since last year…

JD autopower TH-cam channel did a video on it when they had the tyre manufacturer visit their farm to test and explain it to them. If you watch your own video you will see the metering mechanism has a drive on both sides so you can turn off half the drill from the cab and the metering wheels are split.

I would not be excepting the Horsh in the state it has come to you. Its filthy and I would be surprised if its had a PDI. All that money and they couldn't wash the dam thing.
A none driven wheel is easier on the land with the grips pointing backwards! It actually pulls the soil in under the tyre rather than opening it out like a driven wheel on a tractor does. Tractor tyres search for grip by digging down for traction a pulled implement need's flotation.

Don't be in rush to steam clean the new drill. Let the dealer do it and they will be responsible for any water getting in where it shouldn't.
I’d put of with the greasy stuff it’s there to prevent corrosion. So cold wash only.

Implement tyres are always reversed so that they self clean.
Because they are not drive wheels and will self clean that way on.
