The message of spiritual responsibility cannot be emphasised enough. The most spiritual thing we can do is not to strive to be more spiritual but fully honouring our humanity. That includes inquiring into our mental health; into our nervous system. Less blaming others for “energy” and deeper appreciation of how nervous systems are influenced and (dis)regulated. So much spiritual armour can be explained perfectly (and helpfully!) with basic neuropsychology.
