Sadly, the seal was eaten just a few feet after this video was shot...
It was broadcasted on all underwater channels and the morning after it stood on the headlines on SpongeBob Times!

Interesting how they edited out the dude who offered to push it back in the water... Why? I get that this is nature, but here you have a clever seal who managed to take advantage of a situation to save his life and this guy offers to push him back in if the whale watchers want to see the seal ripped apart and eaten for their viewing pleasure. At least the whale watchers had the humane decency to give the seal a chance to live another day. Great story, sad that some of the humans in the story didn't behave better. And of course kudos to the editor who got rid of the f-bombs that littered the sound as well. LOL.

Just a bad take and example of how people refuse to see both sides of a situation. Those whales were starving and needed to eat. Im not saying they should have thrown it to the whales, im just saying the guy shouldn't be shamed for offering to allow nature to happen without unnatural human intervention.

News is supposed to be an important occuring that you should know about, not something you would like to see. Election results, war/terrorism as you mention, or even cultural events if you like. Funny animal post are entertainment; again if that's what you want to see go to the internet. If you want to know what's going on in the world, that's what news is for. Or at least it should be.

you only like to be spoonfed terrifying news from the world theatre, wich is fine. There is everyday bad stuff going on in the world and you want to see this as you categorise it as only news that matters. wich is also fine.
But I don't know if you are familiar with propaganda ? If you let people see daily certain kind of news , they will change their behaviour and mindset of certain things since that is only what they see.You wake up, click on the television , tablet and scroll for "news" and you see bombing here, suicide attack there, childabuse overthere, .... . There is much more other news, but they only let you see this and you think this is what really is going on in the world and you fail to see the beauty of things that are going on since its not broadcasted to you, at least not in the amount of spoonfed news you receive. You are not in control, you sit in front of something wher others decide what you will see, and how their images will manipulate your way of life, thinking, ... .
Kozzzmozzz7 Not at all, if news existed of nothing but "spoonfed" (btw that term is very out of place in the way you use it but whatever) reportings on terrorist/political assaults I wouldn't even like to watch it. Of course there is much other news, from technological breakthroughs to a local concert that sold out; I like light news topics as much as everybody else. Especially on a morning show.
HOWEVER.
There is a difference between news and entertainment. Cute cat videos (or in this case a cute seal) is entertainment. And if you try to make news out of flashy internet videos such as these, you're dumbing down your audience. And is that really much better? Don't get me wrong I like these kinds of silly videos, but a news show is one of the worst platforms to broadcast them on that I can think of.
Plot twist: Two other seals died so this seal could escape and live, then, two days later the orca's finally got this seal.
First this was in Canada, and they said after it went in the water again there was a commotion in the water sooooo

+Fiduddy actually it would be inhumane to push the seal back into the water knowing that it would mean it's instant death, but if it jumped out on it's own, then that's a different story

What if it was your Chicken dinner per say.... if your hungry enough you'd get the food anyway needed to do so. Our chicken dinner was a live chicken. The orca dinner is a live animal as well and what if they are really hungry and flip your boat to get their nourishment. Circle of life .
